So, here we are, the tri season winding down in many parts and the need to keep motivation up! Are you interested in some activity every day - whatever that means to you - past challenges say 15 minutes per day - logged in your training calendar to make a peachy month.

Who's with me?

I'm in. I was doing good with some activity every day but I slipped last month. So I need this to help me make sure I get back to stretching, core, or stairs on the days when I'm not running as much. Got in a sorta long run this morn. Got scared because I thought I discovered someone in cardiac arrest. Started laughing when I realized that he was just stretching. Now why anyone does their cooldown stretching in the middle of the driveway, I will never know, but at least I didn't have to remember how to do CPR.

Excellent! I am not sure what I will get in today. I am a little stiff from my Saturday race. Maybe a little family bike later

I want to try this to help get consistency back in my routine.  But I'm going on a week long business trip this month, so that may make it difficult.  Hopefully I'll have time to use the fitness center before the day's schedule starts.  If not I can always do a core routine in my room.

Excellent! Welcome all - this isn't about being perfect but working to get something in every day!  And it's your own definition of activity.  If it's walking the dog, or all serious bike training - it's up to you!

I biked to work this morning - it was quite humid out and the first day of school here so it was busy.  But it's about 10k each way. It's easy to get my peach when i bike to work!

Yesterday was already a bit of a fail. We did go for a walk but i am not sure it fits into my own definition of activity - it was pretty leisurely.  So, i need to make a plan.  I just did my last race of the season on Saturday. I have two weeks until my tri swim starts again and i am planning to train for a 10k run but I also don't need to do that until the third week of September.

Must make a plan for the next two weeks.

Great work, guys!

I biked to work again today.  For me that totally counts - 35 mins each way on my sister's old mountain/hybrid/cheap bike.

Yesterday, i did the same but it rained in the afternoon and was wet for my ride home - it was nearly impossible to shift into easier gears with the wetness and the kind of handlebar shifters the bike has ... I don't have too many hills on my ride but there are enough inclines and stops and starts that it's helpful to be able to shift.

Looks like everyone is off to a good start!

I ran 4 miles Monday and 3 miles yesterday.  I also did my lunch hour core routine (40 min) yesterday.  But I did not get up to my early alarm today!  So I threw my backpack in the car so that I can stop at the HealthPlex after work to use the treadmill.  I haven't been doing well with after work workouts, but I don't want to miss my peach block for the day, so I better go.  No excuses!

Trinewbie4 - What Sprint will you be doing this year?

So, another bike commute today - i almost took transit instead but then I realized i was unlikely to do other exercise today so i biked in.  It's gonna be hot for the ride home!

Good job not giving in to the transit!  I got in a 4 mile run this morning.  I planned on strength training this evening, but that's not gonna happen.  But at least I did something!

yet another bike! 10.4, 45 minutes.

I have a deal with hubby- he takes the kids and his bike in the car to school. I bike in and get the car and the kids, he gets to bike home. so pretty much every day that is nice enough to bike, we're biking! until it gets too cold.

Managed to get in some ST yesterday - i can definitely tell this morning that i've been neglecting it because i feel it.

Not sure what i'll get p to today - we had a wicked band of thunderstorms roll through so its not looking good for biking and I definitely don't have the heart to use the trainer!  Not when it's so nice out otherwise. I'll save that for the deep, dark, cold winter months

Managed to stay peachy today although NOT in the way I wanted. Had a 9:30 appt so needed to get my 3 hour run in before dawn. Only 1/2 mile in, I misjudged myself on the dark road, hit the side of the road, and fell into the ditch. (Dang, I bet it was funny if anyone could have seen it.) Tried to shake it off but I hurt. Limped home, cleaned wounds, popped Advil, and crawled back in bed pissed. I was lucky and I know it; a coworker fell 2 weeks ago and broke his leg. This afternoon went back out to keep myself from tightening up. Sprinkling when I left but then poured later. Managed a few miles but got to figure out a way to get my long run. Think I'll forego early church and instead do late church so I can run tomorrow morn. Hopefully the rain will keep the temps lower tomorrow morn.

It's around 10 miles, depending on which way I go. There are a couple loops I can add to get some more miles on. I'll probably do that some of the time.

I think today is going to be a light day- just some gardening or something. or maybe I can find an on-line yoga site?

I missed a workout on Friday. Stayed at work longer then expected then procrastinated going to the gym. I did a beautiful mountain bike ride through Granite Basin in Prescott, AZ yesterday. I am not use to working out in that altitude, definitely hard to breathe but was worth the trip and ride. Cant wait to do it again. Can't decide if I want to run tonight or go to the gym?? Decisions, Decisions!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
