i did my first tri about 2 years ago... http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/my_first_triathlon.htm

plus at the same time i recieved frontpage and decided to see if i could offer my experience on the web to help others as i found there were no 'pure' beginner websites. the website has evolved slowly but surely over the last two years when i have found the time.

this year i registered beginnertriathlete.com, went to a new server and gave the site much more functionality...the 'training logs', 'resources' and especially the totally awesome discussion forum which all uses .asp functionality so users could interface with database applications.

the site is starting to gain momentum with the addition of some paid search engine submisions. the last 2 months have been stellar with an increasing amount of page hits every day. thanx to my audience and especially, thanx to my editors who volunteer their time to make this site the best best beginner tri site on the web!

thanx all!!!

well like i say in my intro page ron, the feel of this site is really approachable and cottage industry....i love it. i'd certainly like to try and write some material for it.....perhaps we can chat about that.

You have done an awesome job with this website. What's even better is that you participate on the site and are personally involved. Great job and I'll be a daily visitor to the forum! Maybe I'll also try to write about my experiences. By the way, thanks for the help with my cold. Yesterday I was miserable but today I'm much improved and think I'll be OK by Sunday. Sleeping alot and lots of fluids and Vit. C. Thanks again!

This site has become so much more than just a place to offer training and tips.  It has become a gathering place for athletes of all levels and we have become a family.  Everytime someone here lists a painful event,(a death of a loved one, a loss of a job, an accident) I feel it...and everytime someone has great joy in their life (the birth of a baby, a new pet, a great race) I feel that joy too.  I have laughed out loud and cried tears for people that physically I have never met.

Thank you Ron, for creating this great place for not only education, but for friendship and love.

Holy Cats!

Ditto Woof!  And ditto Woof again.  I know I can travel anywhere in America, or heck, interntionally, and know I can find someone to run or hang out with.  I've met soooo many of my *truly* in-real-life friends off this site.

Thanks Ron!  We'll try and keep it true to your goals!

This is clearly not true, the site was obviously a present from God.  Although the dirty hippie liberals don't want to admit that, they hate America and thus obviously hate BT.
