We had to rewind it and watch it again just to make sure our eyes weren't tricking us! Probably just a hot day on the set, the rubber barrel couldn't hang tough in the heat

i did pause it and was trying to figure out if it was some kind of weird rifle that had a barrel that just looked offset but no I'm pretty sure it was straight up bent.

Maybe that's the issue with the hottie that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a bow and arrow.  Her arrows were probably bent.

That scene with the hermit dude was really strange and it bugged me for a while why it would be included.  But then I realized it might just be a opportunity to show the group that Michonne is more than willing and capable of killing a non walker without hesitation.  We all know she is willing to do that from her history, but up until that point, the group has only seen her kill walkers.  There was a short pause by everyone right after she stabbed him like "whoa...this chick means business."

Given the fact that they are about to ambush a small town of non walkers...I think that was a key scene for the group to trust her.

My son got me hooked on this show.  Did they say a mid season finally?  I will be watching next Sun.

Brother vs Brother.  Andrea, Michone.  Will the boy hold them off?

I'm not sure i understand your questioning. Did you not google "sweeps period" to understand the importance of November and February? They do not have enough episodes to cover September through February with continuous new episodes weekly, thus the gap. Fewer eyeballs in December and January, more importance in November and February.

Lots of shows have done this in recent years, Lost in particular comes to mind.

You have some convicts hanging out in a prison, minding their business, surviving.  They meet Rick.  Half die.  You have a odd dude hanging out in his cabin on a lake, with a dead dog to keep the zombies away, doing fine.  He meets Rick.  He dies.

Most network shows do it now too.  Almost every show I watch (99% network) isn't showing new episodes till next year after next week either.

Re: the mis season break

I don't really understand it, but I've also heard that there is less desire for people to sit down and watch zombies devour people around the holidays.  I guess to some it just doesn't make for a nice Christmas eve...

I'm really liking this season - very similar themes to the comics but the plot lines take so many left turns that it keeps you guessing.

I predict they barely even get into the big fight. They'll get into the town and start to make a fuss, then get surrounded, then we'll be left waiting until February to find out if they get killed or tied up.

I was thinking about that when I saw it, and I concluded that if a patrol came around, they wouldn't want evidence of a fresh kill. However a fresh car parked on the side of the road is also a give away.

So I guess my answer is... I don't really know.

I'm thinking big things for Team Prison vs. Woodbury. I'd like to see the gates open and have Walkers run loose on the town while they battle/rescue Glen and Maggie.
