Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() badgerintx - 2011-02-13 9:02 AM Chris, nice bike. I ride a Felt TT bike and absolutely love it. Love the name........Enjoy. Yes, Ryan thinks the numbers are fun! They mean nothing to me, though. I tell everybody that I went to law school because I'm good with words, not numbers! |

Then the drive back stopped at Community Bldg picked up some cone to mark the race course then back home to change and get ready for the 5k time was 21:58 icy roads made it kind of interesting. From there back home showered and changed loaded up the bike and back to La junta Son dropped me off and back home I rode for 60mile ride of the bike and 12min 1.5 miles transition run. During the transition run my legs felt like 200 year old redwoods waterlogged but made it through. So I think I am finally tired I hope every one had a productive weekend Awesome Saturday. I hope you're taking it slow on Sunday. I wish, I have a 14miler to do on Sunday but I am not going to push it will just let my body set the pace. Monday is my rest day. ![]() | ![]() First ride of the season too. It was 34 degrees out so my friend and I decided to put in a quick 15km ride so I could try out my new bike. Snow is melting today but still have enough of it around. Now off to run 7km. ![]() |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() The @$$ is ok! It looks like a vampire got it, drew blood and it is starting to bruise. My husband went to check for the dogs' owner since it is kinda red neck territory down by the river and a sex offender used to live in that house. He went inside and said he saw shackles (sp?) on the dining room table. Pretty wierd. The power tap info. makes me really want one, but 1st I need a treadmill and then a bike. Maybe a PT in a few years. I really listen to my body signals but I think I lean toward the side of caution. Linda |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Happy Sunday to all! What a glorious day for a 10k! I had a tremendous race, and am over the moon right now! 42:18, 2nd female overall! Not sure what I was thinking that it wouldn't be too hilly, but I should have known better, I spent my childhood riding the cable cars up and down these hills! I will be getting some swag including some Reebok shoes and all kinds of cool stuff. So, a 4 minute PR feels really good right now! Never looked at my watch until the finish line. I went so hard up the last hill, I passed 3 guys I had been keeping pace with. It felt so good! Off to my family's big Chinese New Year's gathering! |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Congrats on the wheels Trev! Chris, I like the ride. I totally get it about the powertap, coach, and wheels, and would have them all if money wasn't an object because I think they would make the whole experience a little better, but I really don't think I need any of it for my goals etc at this time. Suzy, I can see where you could benefit as much as anyone here with the powertap, because you are a RUNNER, and if you can manage your bike to get you there, then you can be that much more competitive. For me, it might help me get to T2 in a little better shape so that I can walk a little less of the run. On the cassette issue, I want another cassette so that I don't have to switch wheels back and forth between bikes. I don't have an issue with my 25 on my road bike. I was just thinking of getting another ratio so that I would have options if I need to change. For instance the Cheeha challenge coming up with lots of steep (14%) grade climbs, and an extra tooth or two might come in handy. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() The weekend workouts are done. Temp 68, Hum 24%, Wind 5mph NNE Longest run ever started out good around an 8min pace but fell as the run got longer. I do understand that my body was tired from yesterdays workouts (swim, run, bike, and run). One thing I did do was took water with me and had my son meet up with me to get me more and refill my small bottles also the temp is the warmest we had in a while. However I am glad my legs were not that sore and could probably handle more it was the bottom of my feet that hurt mainly the balls.

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Kim. Awesome run. Amazing what we can do without all the gizmos and gadgets. Chris. You must be a little off center to be out riding in this weather but then that's what makes a good fit in this MG. I was thinking it would be a good day for a swim. Linda re: your a$$. As Trevor and John would say If there aren't any pictures it didn't happen. Edited by Redknight 2011-02-13 6:48 PM |

![]() | ![]() HAHA 34 Degrees F It was beautiful out. Believe it or not it was one pair of running tights with fleece inside. Normal Socks my mizuno long sleave thermo tech shirt and a spring jacket and some cheap gloves from the dollar store. My feet were just a bit cool.. but not much. We had a 30mph head wind. I was down to about 11mph in that picture and pushing it. But on the way back we were doing 23 mph without trying. Must say I am happy with the bike it handles well for a newbie like me. It is not as "Twitchy" as Stef's Cervelo that I have used a few times. I overheat easy. We went for a 6km run after and I was wearing my shirt and a sweater and no gloves or hat. I was sweating like mad at the end of the run. Accidently cut our route short. Must say my foot is still doing well and I am keeping up on stretching and masaging it. And some other core workouts here and there and squats. I hope no one ever walks in on me at work at lunch when I am doing leg swings and squats in the mens bathroom for a quick 10 min leg stretch and workout. I am not sure how I will ever explain that. HAHHAHA |

I have a Blue Seventy Helix -- likely that year (I know it's been upgraded since I got mine). I think I spent less than that on mine, FWIW, at end-of-year sales plus either a team or a BT discount (15%). But I knew they were changing the style so that's partly why I got it on the cheap(ish). I've been happy with it. |
