I finished my first half mary today.  Unofficially around 2:18 but I messed up my HRM so I'm not sure.  The results aren't posted yet (grrrr)

No swim after volleyball last night -- was chauffeur for 15 yr old and his gf, which obviously is more important.

Killer ride today!!  I'm way ahead on bike goal and way behind on swim goal.  I'll hit the pool tomorrow after my long run I guess....  Last time I swam my sinuses were like Niagara Falls for 24 hours and I could not get warm, so I'm really not looking forward to it....

Every reason to be happy happy!

So cool to do a new thing the first time..I find those events changers as they change the way we feel about ourself and we have less limitations on what we can do in the future!

I decide to race a Du tomorrow 3/11/2. I've never done a Duathlon but it is 8' from my house and works for our family so I can still see lots of soccer tomorrow.

Zipp race wheels are on and they sound fast....

Swam in the warm pool tonight which was way too warm for Ted, but felt great to me.  No sinus issues and I'm not chilled to the bone.  Problem:  Only 2 lap lanes at the warm pool and it's 2x the $ ($5 rather than $2.50 )  So I guess I either need to swim harder in the cold pool or wear a wetsuit....

Long run today.  6.6 mi @ 1:03:16.  One category in the 50 percentile remaining; others in the 60s.

Go Atoms!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I forced myself to get on the trainer for a light recovery spin after doing a large amount of housework and fighting with the photo editing to make a new avatar from yesterday.  I thought I had fewer miles on the bike but my training log had me 30 miles higher than the spread sheet.  Darn, had I known that I'd have stayed off the bike!

I'm sorry to hear your injuries aren't doing any better.  Maybe PM Jen to let her know.  Most important is to take care of yourself and don't make the injuries worse.

Well, got out for a 45 mile ride today. First half was into the wind--like 15.5 avg mph, 130 something avg HR. Return trip was flying--20 avg and 120 something HR. Not a lot of wind, just constant 8 to 10 mph, some gusts. I hate wind, but glad when its hard on the front half better than the return.

So my totals are lookin good. Bike: 140 Mi
Run: 15 Mi
Swim: 9650 Yd
Strength: 3h 00m

Have almost hit bike goal. Run, Swim and Strength goals are attainable yet.

OK - I'm at 60+% for the run and the bike...only 40% on the swim, but this week is swim-focus, so I'll be near goal for swim by the end of this week. Have no fear, Atoms - I'm going to get 100% because I like my avatar.

Oh, and Go RED WINGS! ... the Preds put up a good fight, but in the end, the best team won out. Although, I do have to thank them for getting Hasek benched - he's a little tooooo much in his head and I love LOVES me some Osgood. That is all in hockey news.

well this week is strength focused. Maybe even two a days towards the end of the month and the swim will be done at the end of this week so I should be caught up by the end of the week. (I'm trying to make all my goals before the surgery and without killing my knee) so off to the gym for a work out will log tonight. Oh and yesterday the beach was so beautiful 75 slight breeze (except the way back was all head wind) and completely sunny!
The attached photo was from the half way point of my ride. but the whole ride looked like this
