I won't have any problems making my swim and bike goals.  I'm pretty sure there is no way for me to make my running goal.  The knee isn't feeling much better and I need to give it a few days of rest before my 150 mile ride this weekend.  So, I won't make 100%.  Sorry to let you guys down.

I was sick almost the entire week last week. UGH!  I managed to get all my workouts in except my swims.  I couldn't bring myself to swim being so congested.  I finally got into the pool today.   Will do my best to get up to speed with the swim.  I'm trying to get to 110% with the bike and run also to help my percentage out.  Being sick last week really messed up my schedule :-(

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I hope you get well. I don't envy you having to ride 150 on a bum knee.
I should be able to get 100% on all of my goals. This has been one of the heaviest training months I've ever had. I owe a lot of the push to trying to be accountable to you guys in this challenge. Thanks for the push.

Wow, we had some serious slippage this week. No slacking Hipsters!

I was up early today for my 4 mile race. It was put on by the County Road Runner's club as part of their "low key" race series. There were at least 230 runners.

Wow, my pace was just insane! I've never run that fast over this distance. A PB for sure!

I looked down at my watch about half way into the first mile and it showed a sub 8min pace; I couldn't believe it, but my legs kept it going. I kept wondering when I'd hit the wall and start running like in training. I guess it didn't really happen until the last ALL UPHILL mile. That was hard!

  • Final time: 36:24
  • Pace: 9:04/mile
  • Finish position: 171

I don't know if they will post age group results.

Good fun!

Congrats on the race, Nicole!

I will be over 100% on biking and darn close on swimming and running. I'm planning on hitting the pool this afternoon and want to do a long run tomorrow...I have a race on Sunday, so I want to spread things out a bit.

Let's Go Hipsters!

I got my workouts posted on the spreadsheet this morning, so we are doing a little better than the results show from week 3. I'm now at 55% instead of 38% and should be able to finish this week.

The knee is still sore today.  Not too bad, but a little swollen.  I went for a walk instead of the run today.  Looks like that still counts towards time since the purpose was to walk and I'm kind of injured.

I just checked the spread sheet. The good news is we are ahead of the West by 3%. The bad news: we are behind the Central team and the International team by 4%. It sounds like everyone is trying to make a strong push to the weekend. I ran 9 miles yesterday after work with 4 x 1 mile intervals in the middle (nearly killed me)! Keep up the strong work and let's pull this thing out!

I'm trying. I got a short swim in at lunch and will try for another tomorrow at lunch. The cold last week really jostled my plans.  I should have no problem at all getting my run(s) in this week.  I did a lot of slower jogging with my sister that I didn't count on the spreadsheet because they weren't my 'scheduled' runs, so if I have to coun them, gosh darn it, I will

Had a 70 minute OWS practice today, so I am done with my swim goal - at 107.45% for that and 93% of my goals overall.  I will definitely be at 110% for my bike (75 mile ride on Saturday).  Hope to get some run/walk time in tomorrow to improve on the percentage for that goal.

I am over 100% for bike and run but I have been having some back "issues" for a couple of days.  Thought I could just HTFU...but I don't know.  I going to see Dr. Magic Hands tomorrow ( NO...she doesn't work at the Happy Endings Spa  ....she is my Chiropractor...)  and that should help.  If I have a good night tonight I am going to try and get in the pool early morning...we shall see.

Everyone is doing great...lets push for a strong finish.

Steve

I snuck in a swim at lunch, at the risk of getting fired he he  Not really, although, I was away from the office today far longer than I usually want to.  I had some errands to run and then decided to get into the pool for a little while before I went back.  My plan was to do 2500 but I just felt so bad that I was away from the office for so long.

OK - 100% in bike - my biggest bike month EVAH!

Still have some work to do in swim and run - probably not going to hit them, but will give it my best shot...swim has a possibility, but I don't think run has a prayer...I want to rock my tri on Sunday.

Although, I guess I could go for another ride tomorrow and use that to pull up my other stats.

Mmmm.

(I guess if I wanted to, I could claim my bricks, but I said I wasn't going to ... and I haven't yet...)

I'll pass 100% swimming tomorrow morning and 100% biking on Saturday. I'm done with my scheduled runs and am 2+ miles short of my goal. I'm supposed to run with my daughter tomorrow; I'm thinking that after we do her lap that I'll continue for 2 more laps. We'll see. I may have to settle for less than 100% on the running.

UUUMMMM according to the spreadsheet we are presently dragging up the rear. It might be a good idea to claim those bricks now!

Good morning!

I did my last swim this morning, 2100m, bringing my monthly total to 20,000m, a new PB! I've got a 50 mile ride scheduled for tomorrow morning. Please think "no rain" for me. I still don't know if I'll be able to get in enough running this afternoon to hit my goal; I'll definitely make about 96%

Win or lose, it's been fun training with you! Let's all finish strong!

OK, Hipsters...

I am at 100% on the bike, 91% on the swim and run (making 94% overall)...

I am actually happy with this, and for that reason I'm going to go back and claim my bricks for the month (I'll figure them out and add them to the spreadsheet later this afternoon)

Well, for that reason and because of some "gentle" encouragement from my teamies.
