WOW, is it perfect outside.  77 degrees, slight breeze, not a cloud in the sky, 10% humidity.....

Dang, I should be swinging the sticks right now....

Do you want to send some of that Cumberland, MD, to settle in around 7am tomorrow?

What's it like there? I'm only like, an hour north... and it's BEAUTIFUL here.

Thunderstorms are supposed to come in tonight and threaten throughout the rest of Saturday... That is where I am going tonight and racing tomorrow morning.

Mornin' TAN. I decided to not play baseball tonight. I can just see me getting beaned by a comebacker or hurting my shoulder or something stupid two days before the race. My manager was PO'd because I told him I'd be available to throw a few tonight, but shoot, after a week and a half off due to storms you'd think a couple other pitchers might be well rested! Sheesh.

Anyway I was late for work today and feel like a million bucks!!!

Blah... there's a chance of that here, too. I hope not, my buddy is getting married tomorrow.

Well, they say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Not so much on race day.

Weather Channel for my race start on Sunday says 65 and Sunny with 75% humidity

USGS has the water temp at 18.3C... Gonna have to swim fast cause that is a little chilly with no wetsuit.

Rain on your wedding day is good luck so no one can see the groom crying at the altar. Same way you want a dark corridor while they're walking you to the chair.

Wait, is that Rocky Gap? I was supposed to do that one, until I found out this wedding was the same day. My buddy is doing it.

Haha, yeah, that's the one.

Hopefully, not the same buddy who is getting married (we all saw the reaming the guy who posted in tri talk got about doing a race on his wedding day)

Wait - you feel like $1,000,000 because you are late or for some other reason?

ha... no. This one IS gonna come back for the wedding though. I decided it wasn't worth it to rush around. I'd rather drink and jet ski all day

Isn't that the case every day?

I know this may sound like I'm a huge pu$$y, BUT I gave up softball for that reason.  I pitch and we have to stand SO close to the box that I get beaned a couple times a season.  We play at night so the shadows play tricks too.

Once, I guy drilled one right up the middle and it "knuckled".  I got my glove up, but just not quick enough.  Hit 20 percent webbing, and 80 perecent chin.  Split it open like a butterflied chicken breast.  12 stiches to close it up.  Finished the game though before going to the ER.....

Then someone drilled me in the forearm, and the whole thing hurt like a beoch.  I thought it was broken.  THAT took me out of the game....

Shite, I get hurt more playing softball than doing anything else - didn't want it to hurt my tri season so gave it up.  Jiu Jitsu would be safer to do than softball IMO.

That's a bit easier to manage, though, than a triathlon. If your wedding is late enough, you can go early. And if you start running out of time, you can stop. Plus, there is very little risk of bodily injury

I just let one loose in the office.  Man I hope no one comes in here.

I better be proactive and leave till it clears out.

Yeah, I was thinking about that.  It would suck to crash and have a broken limb or road rash to deal with in a tux.....  The potential spouse would probably not be too happy.

My wife is becoming a vet... She asked for my splits so she would know about when I would be coming into transition.

On my wedding day I SCUBA'd in the morning - then I went to the pool and played some volleyball, went out on a three person sailboat and cruised the coast for a while, came back and had some beers at the poolside bar and then I went and got dressed to get married.

Of course, I was in Jamaica and was hanging with my buddies while the women in my life (Wife and two step-daughters) were getting their hair decorated and such.
