But someone else mentioned shakes, and i just remembered it's March now so McDonald's probably has their Shamrock Shakes out about now, huh?  Sounds like something I might want to locate in the near future. . .
Shamrock shakes? Is it mint? ('Cause I know it's GOT to be green.)

I haven't had a shamrock shake in forever...

So is this like a pistachio shake or is it just vanilla with some green dye?

It's minty!  Or at least, that's how I remember it. . . I haven't had one in years, though!

I thought it was supposed to be minty too but when I had half of one last week, it tasted.....non minty.  I have no words to describe how it tasted though.  No clue on the flavor.  But Cole loved it.

I remembered it being minty too and could feel the craving building. So, thank you Erica, because this just got me over it! I'm having enough trouble with the cookies!

ironannekidd - 2010-03-04 6:38 AM Good morning everyone.

I am feeling better today. Instead of the headache all the junk is draining down my throat.

I plan to get a short run in today. It is my son's 10th birthday so I don't have a lot of time. Need to be out and back by the time he gets home. He's bringing 2 friends home with him tonight.

I have the house to myself on Saturday and the temp is supposed to be near 50. I am looking forward to riding my bike outside this weekend.

Glad your headache is gone and hope the nasty junk leaves soon!

Happy birthday to your son!  Big plans with his friends?

Yeah. They want to play video games and we're going to McDonald's because there are Star Wars toys in the Happy Meals.

Now I'm thinking green milkshake, too.

So I actually got my bike in yesterday, even though I had to referee the kids from the bike for the last half. I probably would have gone a few more miles if I didn't have the building temptation to bonk the two in the head with my water bottle just to break up the fighting. Aren't two little girls supposed to be sweet with each other?! Have just a short run planned for today and then Friday off to try to prepare/psych myself up for a 4 mile "race" on Saturday that I am very underprepared for. I know I'll make it to the end, it just won't be pretty. Thank god the brew pub is on the way home from the race!

Way to get on the bike! When I first bought my bike and had it in the house my kids were told they are not allowed to go by my bike...the minute my back was turned they were all over it! Now that it is a permanent fixture in the living room they leave it alone..but when their friends come over they are like "cool you have a bike in here!" My kids let them know to stay away!  As for girls getting along...hahahahahahaha! My 2 older ones (only 18mos apart) will be best friends one sec and beating each other up the next! You will do great on your race!

I will get 2 bike sessions in today. This morning I will be observing an instructor because I will be taking over her class next month then my Tri-club starts tonight! I am so excited. We will have a 45 min spin then 15 min run just to see where people are in their training. I have a really good feeling of where this club can go!

Is anyone working on the team table? I have no idea how to do it but would love to add it to my dashboard so I can inspire the team!
Have a great day team!

Morning team!

I am cranky already.  I want to sign up for the SheRox Tri in Webster MA and got a post card in the mail with a code that I can use to enter to win a wetsuit.  Of course I am convinced I will win said wetsuit.  But the stoopid Active site doesn't recognize the code.  I emailed them Tuesday about it and never heard back.  I tried again this morning hoping it was fixed and same deal.  So I emailed SheRox.  I am hoping the squeaky wheel gets the wetsuit!

Good Morning - I have been absent for a few days, but getting my workouts in.  I finally filled in my portion of the challenge spreadsheet and I think I am going to be challenged!  Yikes!  I will do my best.

I have breakfast with a friend this am, then Masters swim, then lunch afterwards with some of my master's friends, then I need to fit a ride on the trainer in there somewhere.  Too much food, but no Girl Scout cookies or Shamrock shakes here!  No Girl Scouts even stopped by this last time around - I would have been a good customer too!

Have a great day!

1400 yards in the pool, longest swim workout since I started back up. I sort of floated across the lane I was sharing (whoops) and totally got my butt grabbed by a woman old enough to be my grandma.
Didn't get any Chik Fil A last night, only frozen pizza. Blech. Maybe a Shamrock Shake will tempt him?

Good morning!

I had a great swim this morning. No waiting for a lane, long smooth relaxed swim focusing on form. 2500m total including 2200m straight.

It's also supposed to be nice here this weekend. I'm supposed to me up with some people from my tri club for a 32 mile riode on Saturday. I've never ridden with these people so it should be interesting.

No cookies for me, but I have packed a Dove chocolate egg in with my lunch :)

Hmm, well I guess they're not as minty as they used to be (according to this article) Frown  But I guess that's a good thing because I don't want to have one and be disappointed, so I may as well stay away.  I guess I'll just have to rely of free beer & appetizers at my group runs to be bad Tongue out

That's the sign of a long winter - when 50 degrees sounds tropical!  I'm looking forward to the relative warmth and an outdoor ride too.  It feels like spring might actually be on the way.

Somehow the fact that it's supposed to be minty (which I love) yet you got one that was a flavor other than minty makes me want one even more.

That's how I remember it.  It was supposed to be minty, but it was actually a weird not-really-minty flavor. I'm not sure it's good, either, just addictive.
