Aside from that, she just has a really cool personality. She reminds me a little of the psychologist from the midwest who it all last season. She's physically tough too.

If she wouldn't cry so much... I knew early on that the breakdown would amount to nothing unless she pulled herself and went home sparing a tribal council vote.
GREAT tribal council vote. I wonder how Phillip will be on the Ponderosa. If he will be bitter that he didn't win or admit it's all and act that got him back on the show. It's a show after all.
Hopefully the three amigos can find a crack with Eric and Sherri and last. Andrea seems to be running things so I will give her a lot of credit for not just sitting there being told what to do like Dawn, Brenda or Cochran. I understand why they kept their head down. Just let Phillip talk and make himself a target and ride that to the top and hope the jury hates him more for what he's done than you taking him instead of someone that got voted out on the jury.
Seems like a jury that will respect the game and not be bitter. We'll have to wait and see. Edited by Jtiger 2013-04-18 7:18 AM |

Neither! lol He is not not bitter at all but he is still being the same Phillip (crazy) Dawn is just a mess and annoys me to no end. Now that Phillip is gone the real game starts. Who is going to make plays and who is going to follow.

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() That was amazing and awesome. I love it when they actually DO things. As Cochran said, rarely is the vote ever changed at tribal. Well, then, time to shake things up! I have real crush on Reynold. Those eyes! I think it would be kind of awesome if Brenda won. She's not a complete lunatic and she's pretty darn good at challenges. I just like her. I think she would be a shoe-in for at least a few votes. I thought she was rolling her eyes at Dawn, but then I was perplexed by how that whole scene made her MORE sympathetic to Dawn. It made me completely lose interest. Although, I think there's a chance I would fall apart on no sleep and might act crazy too. So I can sort of understand. I am rooting for Cochran, too. I hate that he stuck with Philip for so long, but it was necessary and he really got in some good jabs behind the scenes. Go Eric for voting "Fillup" - I think he even surprised himself! |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Okay, Phillip in Ponderosa is presenting a totally normal balanced image. I think if someone watched that video and didn't really know his ways would say he was really cool. I think getting voted off was a HUGE ego boost for him. Just like with saying he threw the challenge, he's covering up his failure by saying he knew he was getting voted off that night. I call b.s., but I might act exactly the same way in his situation! Human nature I guess. I never really understand why people go to Ponderosa and are SO MAD, like Abi last season. It's over, get over it. I wonder if they plan to do many more seasons in the Philippines. I am tired of this Ponderosa. |

Though, props to Erik for being the one to change his vote at tribal and see the opportunity. If I had to pick favorites...Reynold and Malcolm because they ARE playing HARD...and Cochran...because he's just so likeable this round! |

I agree. However he's been a marked man since week 2 on this other tribe. I have to respect him hanging in there. Eddie is trying to play the other alliance with Andrea. Even though she wrote his name down. I give him credit for trying and hanging in there when he's been on the chopping block for a while now.
Can't wait until Dawn is voted out . Psycho's gonna psycho
I understand that it's hard out there but she's the only one breaking down. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Dawn... seriously. It just really makes me wonder... I mean she obviously has some "confidence" problems... so then how do you get on Survivor. Yes she is under stress, but you can't tell me people are TOTALLY different that who they normally are. Just wow... really, a couple of teeth? SOOOO glad Philip is gone. What an idiot. No strategic reason, just glad he is gone. And maybe he was a good vote.. for the 3 to get some "gratitude" from the others who knows. Awesome move by Malcolm.... it was going to be suicide to play one and save himself... he "sacrificed" and will keep votes if he get's a to a position to get them. Reynold is no joke. He could easily make it to the end.... but I just don't see him getting enough votes to win... just too arrogant. But he certainly has a case, targeted from the start. Eric, Eddie... meh. Cochrane is doing good, and he could actually win if he made it to the final 3... because I think people would not mind voting for him. He has played a smart game so far. Andrea, Brenda... meh. They are playing and they are tough. Not riding coat tails. Who knows. I'm still rooting for Malcolm. I like his play. |

And poor Michael because at the end of his Ponderosa video he said the only person he didn't want to spend alone time with was Phillip. It was nice to hear from Erik finally! So who is everyone pulling for to win right now? I don't mean logically who do you think will win but who do you like? Me- Cochran. He has really kept a cool head and been solid when his alliance gets the crazies. And I just want to say, I know you men drool over the young ladies but Dawn really looks great especially for a woman who has had 6 kids! Same. I was SO over his self deprecating humor last year. It's funny for a while, then get's old. He does it a little now (maybe he saw that he did it a bit TOO much?) He is a bit more confident, smart, funny. He almost weekly gets me laughing. Next week with the whole "it happens more than you think" line that get's Jeff laughing? Awesome. So, I'm SO pulling for Cochran. If he get's to the final three, he could very well win it. Mostly because no one expected him to be there. I'm not sure if he WILL win, but I want him to. If they can get someone to switch, it could still be Malcom. That move last night might have sealed the deal if he can get there. It was brilliant. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() Yeah, I mentioned this earlier, but cry babies get old FAST - so not a Dawn fan and said that weeks ago. However, to always give someone the benefit of the doubt, lack of food and sleep and stress effects people in strange ways. Some people lash out or other break down over what seems to be inconsequential things. If she had a real security issue with showing no lower teeth, I can see how that can snap someone. But wow, she was a bit beyond that. Borderline hysterical. Granted, Brenda can probably bank on never getting a vote from Dawn now. But nothing is sure in Survivor. |

Yeah, some people are more emotional than others I guess. My wife will cry at the drop of a hat at sad or happy scenes in movies or when frustrated. Not go into hysterics, mind you. OR wail or break down, but shed a tear or two. I wouldn't THINK she would flip out like Dawn, but who knows with all the pressure, no food, missing your support structure. I often wonder what kind of pressures you feel when you get away from all the support you have in real life and have to be with a group of people for 40 days that are basically out to get you and you can't trust or rely on anyone. It's got to feel pretty scary to not have anyone to go to. Come to think of it, it's probably why they all fall apart during the reunion shows. I often thought "no way would I break down like that just because I haven't seen my wife for 3 weeks". Maybe it's FINALLY someone you can trust and feel safe with after 3-4 weeks, not just the fact you have been away. Maybe Dawn is emotional anyway and this magnifies it. BUT, she also knows what this is about, so it's still a bit surprising/annoying. |

I guess I don't see this. He could have kept the comment about the girl he was cuddling with was the only one worth "fu&^ing" to himself but other than that he's just trying to last another vote. I would say Phillip was FAR more arrogant this season than anyone else. Most people seem to be playing a don't stir the pot game until they have to.
I liked Sherri at first but her game plan when to crap as soon as Shamar left the game. I think she sees that her only hope at hanging on was to put up with Phillip. Her work must suck out loud if she says she see's a million Shamars and Phillips all the time. I couldn't imagine. Good for her for keeping her cool out there and hanging on.
If the previews are true and she does flip that could be huge. I'm not getting my hopes up since the previews made it look like Dawn was going to quit the game.
The paranoia in this game has to be at an all time high. Before you are trying to get to the merge and after the merge it's just get to the finals but circles within circles and you have to hope you are on the inside of the right circle and then your alliance votes the right way.... then who to take? Reward your circle or take an enemy that you thing the jury doesn't like? Tough decisions.
Andrea is getting really paranoid. Edited by Jtiger 2013-04-18 12:08 PM |

Putting them in a crazy position under a lot of stress is what the point is. I have no doubt I would act just like them. I am human, and there is a whole range of reactions to that situation, and we would fall somewhere in there just like everyone else.... However... there are "ends" to that range. and there are those outliers that are not exactly "typical". She is a little out on the edge a bit. For the record, I think I would be fine in the game... I mean nutty like most, but that position does not bother me. And I can focus on the goal... some like to call it OCD, I like to call it goal oriented. It is a game, there is a point, you DO get to go back to your normal life when it is over. I mean give me a filppin break... WHAT AN ADVENTURE! No, Phillip is mental. Arrogant is putting it mildly. Reynold is normal arrogant... and I'm not a hater. He is playing the hand he is dealt. He has hung in, found idols, tried to make move... dude's a stud, no doubt. But you know, he's too good looking, too athletic...people do not like to loose to people like him... Remember all the good looking people got together at the start of the game and he said what was very true... just like all the good looking kids in high school.... well guess what... all the not so good looking kids know than and may not vote for you some day. That's all I mean by that. Given a choice, juries tend to not vote for those they do not like to loose against... just look at the winners. Heck, look at Russel... not only did he wipe the floor with them, he rubbed it in their face too... ya, that's going to get you a million bucks..... not. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yes, the paranoia is getting INSANE. It's a huge factor in the game and one of the biggest reasons they have a psychologist in Ponderosa. These people get REALLY messed up mentally from being in this situation where normaly daily social "rules" just do not apply. I mean, in your normal life you would not expect random strangers you have been living with for over three weeks to stab you in the back. :D And I think it is worse among the returning players. It's different watching blindsides happening on TV and experiencing them first hand. Returning players have already seen it so it's more real to them I think. You really cannot trust ANYONE and that is a tough tough way to live. Remember Kat's meltdown when she left last season? I think that IS why the family visit is so important...finally you get to talk to SOMEONE that you don't have to worry what info you give them. Plus it's a fresh set of eyes on the situation...fresh "read" of the people around you...etc. etc. Interesting dynamic how last time Malcolm played he practically skated to final four and this time he is fighting for his life... I didn't like Brenda last time she played. She was sort of a "black widow". But she's likeable this time. Anyone else catch that she seems to be nursing a knee injury? I also find it funny that pretty much of all the "favorites" we said "they are favorites?" to didn't last. :D Except Andrea...I don't think anyone expected much out of her. |

Heck, look at Russel... not only did he wipe the floor with them, he rubbed it in their face too... ya, that's going to get you a million bucks..... not. Plus his "man crush" on Boston Rob is a bit creepy. If I were the producers, I would have Boston Rob at the Reunion show at the end to make a comment. I almost expect it now. |
