No, it's called I rode my bike 201 last month and set my goal appropriate to what I thought I would do, and according to the guidelines of this challenge.  I'll hardly sit still for being called a sandbagger for doing something that I'm surprised at, feel proud of, and did not imagine I would do.

Sometimes stuff happens, everything falls right. I sure didn't plan to ride 900 miles in April, honestly thought that 500 miles would be difficult. Chances are, though, that your 180% might not count as we throw out the high and low participants.

Hey, its all in good fun.  Things have been pretty testy over here lately, keep in mind that trash talkin' is just that, trash talkin'.  Besides, it makes for great "billboard material" over on the boy's thread...congrats on your miles, the challenge did for you exactly what it was designed to do.  But, we've still got a challenge to win and I'll call you a sandbagger every day for the next 9 days if it gets the boys riled up enough to get out and ride.

Hasta...

Yeah, I'd probably be resorting to name calling at this point, too, if I was as far from meeting my goal as you are.  Hey, you're right, this is fun!

No worries about throwing me out, bear, doesn't change my plans one bit.   I'm having a great time on my bike, the Challenge is just icing on the cake (or frosting on the cupcake, I guess I should say).

Hi Ladies!

Last night's ride was longer than expected... we started at 630 and rode until nearly dark... Got in a good 38.37 miles (hey, every last tenth of a mile counts!) So I'm at 257.11/270... (95%) I've got a guaranteed 17.5 or 16.5 (I don't know the length of my bike course for Sunday's race... nice!) Anyway, the race WILL put me over the top for this month. I'm off work all next week, so I'm going to be riding my A$$ off in all my spare time! We don't have a computer at home, so I'm going to post my excess miles at the local library!!! I will definitely be over 100% (barring unforseen tragedy, sickness, or family emergency) and hopefully my extra miles will help bring our total up...

ROCK ON GODDESSES!!!!

Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  (chase us, boys!!!)

No one suggested you change your plans. Someone has to be #1, if it's you then you might validate someone's 170%, which would be eliminated if you weren't higher.

Ride Lots, don't stop now, you have to ride all the way across Iowa next month.

Number 2?  I don't think so, not with your numbers - I'll happily be number two.  You GO Goddess!  (and you call yourself a slacker).

That's the spirit!  Way to go!!!!  (however, I can't really let you complain about humidity, but you can complain about heat and wind all you want- as long as you get out there!)

Gwozdzilla - 2005-06-21 9:29 AM

Thanks all for the good, sound, clean ass kickin' yesterday!

The thought of a motivated perv smacking me on my ass while singing about his victorious boners was enough to get me right the hell out of bed this AM!  (and I am not refering to my hubby)

Go Goddesses!        228.6/350 , almost there!

20%???

You know it's humid in Mississippi when you think about logging your Runs under the swim column..

it's 47% right now (so says weather.com).. and that is pretty dry for this area..

Just checking in. I'm at 61%, need 47 miles to reach 120. I'm leaving for vacation on Wednesday night and plan to ride ~ 10 miles a day on Friday the 24th, Saturday the 25th, Monday the 27th and Wednesday the 29th and a day to be named later (maybe tomorrow, maybe Thursday after we arrive).

Bad weather could do me in, so I'll be flexibile on which days I can ride and I'll try to go long (15 miles) at least one of those days. With only minor luck and attention I think I'm on track to make my goal.

I'm going to scare you all, though, as I won't be able to fill in my log at all from Saturday the 25th until Friday, July 1 as I'll be on a river camping (with my bike and wetsuit).

So, please, please wait get my miles on Friday the 1st before you declare us the winner! (I want our healthy margin to show up in the right light.)
