I know they producers loved splicing every bit of film to make her look mean and hypocritical, and oblivious... I know the edit can make a person appear a certain way...but they have to base that edit off SOMETHING. They pick and choose the pieces to splice based on what other survivors are saying. For example, all those clips of Skupin hurting himself. That had to be a theme that people talked about or they may not have picked up on it. So, yes...the edit can make a trait appear even larger than it is, but the trait has to be there in the first place. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I don't think Abi will go. I think they will try to flush the idol but I don't think anyone's goal is (or should be) to get rid of her now. She's useless and won't win - if they got rid of her now, it would be for spite. I think they can pretty much just ignore her at this point. |

Plus I'm sure the other 2 have a problem with one of them going at the expense of Abi staying. We know that is how it goes, but I really do not see them dragging along the weak, especially since Denise said it out loud at tribal. It won't be a huge surprise if Abi does stay, but there are things stacked against her that are not normal from other seasons. ... oh ya, and she already used her idol last tribal. |

Even if Penner tries to latch onto Abi... he only has himself, Abi and Carter for an alliance. Obviously not everyone knows all the alliances... but "IF" the alliance of 4 stick together... then really the four are sitting pretty and they don't care. They can expect to get rid of Lisa, or if Malcolm stumbles they can go for him. Denise and Skupin are sitting good, and it's up to Malcolm as it would be in any alliance... Penner is a much bigger threat that Skupin in my mind so they all want him gone. |

I'm sure being in the game they all have their ideas... but to me on the couch, Malcolm HAS TO GO if I want a chance to win. And he has been on the chopping block, but the other guy was a good one to vote off too. Sure it would have been good to get him off, but it was also good for everyone to get Pete and now Abi. But seriously, Malcolm has to have a HUGE target on his back. Only because he is so strong and he is so likable and he is liked by all them too. They all know. He better be doing all he can to win challenges. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Wow. AWESOME. I love when they have to scramble!!!! I think Skupin made the wrong move. If left unchecked Malcolm and/or Denise will win this game...he should have flipped. Lisa can't win...Abi can't win...Carter hasn't done much....Penner would be the wild card. Shame. No way Abi would have won that challenge without the advantage...and actually rather savvy to try to convince them all she has another idol. I guess no one else considered saving money for a challenge advantage...they were either too secure in their situation or thought Abi couldn't win the challenge even with an advantage. However, her ONE mistake was not keeping track of the max $$$ everyone still had. She went right to $500 and she didn't need to. I believe at that point she could have won with $420...saving $80 for another food item later if there was more.... Next week could be interesting if someone would convince Skupin that he cannot win v. Malcolm/Denise. Can't wait to see the Penner Ponderosa video! |

Denise and Malcolm are now a tough pair, but not invincible. Sure Skupin could have flipped, but he didn't like Penner either. Skupin said he thought he could beat Penner at final 3, but I don't see it. Penner, "IF" he made it all the way to final 3, would have had a very strong case... and perhaps there are still some on Tandang that would not vote for Skupin still. So Skupin didn't "mess up" by getting rid of Penner... and he stayed loyal to his alliance, which was what I thought he would do. OK.. I'm officially over Lisa. Totally irritating, wishy washy, can't make a simple decision. Here's a clue... don't get into an alliance without Penner, if you have some major heart-on for Penner. She's annoying now... and pretty much sealed her fate with the "4" by telling him.... You are either "for" or "against". No, I didn't think the "fake idol" was crafty. That whole "production" was silly. What a gimme challenge for Abi. It does not matter, she will not win the next one. And still completely socially inept... and no you can't blame that on culture or language. She speaks good English. And I totally disagree with the auction... there is never enough to go around. Players walk away with money every single auction. You are either going to get nothing, a meal, or an advantage. If you want it, GET IT! Denise.. $500! Bam, well done! Abi... $500.. her only and best play of the whole game. Kept her alive one more day. Abi goes $400... other players fearing her sticking around one more day says $500.. game over, Abi goes home empty handed. It isn't a real "auction". If you want it, buy it. It will cost $500. Penner, what can you say. Good game. Good moves. Great thinker, likable guy.. he had to go simply because he was too big of threat, especially with how well he gets in peoples head. He really played a good game, nothing much to fault. Skupin is too wishy washy and I do see him trying to make a move. He needs Abi to do it, but even still it would be 3 on 3 probably. It's getting down to the wire, so who knows. Edited by powerman 2012-11-28 10:51 PM |

Everyone else on the bench had already purchased something...Denise and Skupin were out of money, Carter had spent about $300, Lisa had spent $200ish, and Penner had spent the least at $100. So he had $400 in pocket (maybe...we don't see every item that comes out...he could have been lower but we KNOW he spent at least $100). So she only needed to bid $420 and no one could beat her. She did NOT need to go straight to $500. |

It's been no sharing for several years...I think because they always give a challenge advantage and I don't think they want everyone ganging up to prevent one person from getting it (makes for better TV if they give everyone a fair shot). Quite honestly I'm still shocked no one else waited for the challenge advantage....similar thing happened last season where the "on the outs" players waited for it...he didn't go straight to $500 and the rest of the survivors were egging on the one with enough money left (Christina maybe....) to bet against him. The viewers all thought she had $500 left but it came out later that she had already bid on an item that was edited out of the show so even though we hadn't seen her spend any money she had. Anyway...Abi would have been smart to keep track of how much money everyone had left. At any given time she should have known exactly what bid could beat everyone. Or really, tie....she just has to be the first one to the max. So really, I guess she could have been able to bet $400 and won the advantage...as long as she was the first one to get there. That way if any food thing came out later she would have a chance and still have gotten her advantage. |

Honestly, that group felt so unthreatened by her having an advantage that she probably could have gotten it for a LOT less than what she paid.... |

I think she did the right move because why risk it and do we really think she could have kept track? I think it was best to cut out all risk and just go for it like she did that way she was guranteed the advantage. It was still no risk. At that point she was the ONLY one with $500...no matter what they could not outbid her...even if the person with the next most money bid their max she STILL could have gone higher...no one else had $500....and she could have saved herself some $$$. Honestly, that group felt so unthreatened by her having an advantage that she probably could have gotten it for a LOT less than what she paid.... I think that is a bit of arm chair thinking because we can watch the video with no stress, good night sleep, and a full belly. They have a bit different surroundings and it was Abi. |

You have to be able to keep your wits about you! Or you won't win! |
