I'm rather proud of the change, and I don't plan on going back.  First year changes were: Cut out regular soda ( switched to diet soda ) Cut out the fast food lunches ( and dinners ) Bring my own lunches, instead of eating out every day ( also saved money! ) Hit the gym 3-4 times a week for about 30 min cardio / 30-45 min weights. After about a year of that, was when I decided to give my first tri a go. Now, I don't even drink diet soda, I switched to water. As far as what I eat now, it's mostly fresh foods. I like chopped fruit salads. I can buy them pre-made from the grocery store, which saves me a ton of time. I eat wholegrain pasta and bread. A lot more veggies ( in the form of salads ). Spread over 5-6 smaller meals through the day, instead of 3 big meals. Oh, and exercise like a fiend.  All of that leads to my being in better shape & health at 30, than at any other time in my life. -Chris |
