Crawling out of my running deficit, although a lot of those miles were spent on the elliptical which both my PT and Dean the ultra machine apparently love as a way to build your running muscles.  The good news is I met all January goals!

Bike:33h 10m  - 643.4 Mi
Run:13h 28m 42s  - 70.2 Mi
Swim:16h 08m 31s  - 37800 Yd

I'm gonna re-post my January numbers to reflect today's effort but just popped in to post something from my blog....I am really stoked about today's run.  It was AWESOME.  Not as fast as most here but then I have blue jeans older than all of you

From my blog:
GREAT run today.  Only stops were for EP to hit the head and for us to grab some water and I left the watch running just like on race day.  LONGEST CONTINOUS RUN OF MY LIFE.  Last mile was 9:24.  After doing the math at mile 15 I knew I had a shot to get under 3 hours...so  picked it up a little...then it happened...on MY iPod...of all things.....

SHANIA TWAIN LYRICS - Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

OMG.  I was almost in a dead sprint to get finished so i could turn that thing off.

I'll check back in tonight with everybody later tonight.  Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Steve

January's totals:
Bike:8h 00m
Run:7h 04m 05s  - 30.42 Mi
Swim:4h 57m 18s  - 10500 M

January was good.  Getting into that build phase for the May HIM.  Still battling that little voice, but that seems less like the 7 days war that will be over quickly, and more like the 100 years war that I will be fighting forever...
January's totals:
Bike:7h 17m (log showed 14 miles because the indoor trainer bike I used most had no mileage calculator)
Run:9h 51m 30s  - 60.09 Mi
Swim:2h 01m  - 4700 Yd
Strength:4h 50m

Linda's modest goal is to COMPLETE? a HIM this year.  I think she could get it done even if she had to wear a life jacket and use training wheels.  She got the run covered.

Here is the first month of 2010...

January's totals:
Bike:7h 25m  - 124.47 Mi
Run:10h 29m 37s  - 75.05 Mi
Swim:6h 25m 06s  - 20000 Yd

Pretty pleased across the board since nearly all my triaining was done during the week.  Sometime in March skiing will be over in the Northeast and I will get back to some longer weekend workouts!  At least my total sbr was not less than my total skiing Smile

Well, I just wrapped up January with a short bike technique workout that I was supposed to do yesterday...very happy to have it done.  Not sure but this might be the highest bike month ever for me.  It sure feels like it...especially since lots was done on the trainer.  Here are the numbers:

January's totals:
Bike:19h 33m  - 340.92 Mi
Run:13h 00m 04s  - 96.32 Mi
Swim:10h 15m  - 21600 Yd

Well here are my updated January numbers.  I am pleased witht he run as that is what the focus is right now.  The swim is what it is...just getting used to getting wet for the year.  I hope to buy a trainer in the next few weeks on a "end of the season" DEAL so next year I will have no excuse to not have bike numbers listed at this time of year.

I stated when I listed these totals the other day that my goal for Feb. is to do 100 miles running.....NO WAY....My goal is 125!!!  If I hit every workout I would do 143 but with the new job and Feb. weather in the ATL. can be crazy...I am going to state OUTLOUD...125 miles next month.

January's totals:
Run:16h 45m 41s  - 92.76 Mi
Swim:1h 19m  - 3200 Yd
Strength:15m
Core Training:2h 40m

Ha-Ha...no I am a former long distance runner with a coach that is insisting I become a better biker. That's it.   I love the CT so while I whine a little, I am digging the change.  Of course, I would still like the option to get back to 70 mile weeks. Dreamin......
