I want to do this and am planning on starting January 1.  I have very little upper body strength (and would like to change that) and will spend the rest of December just working on "wall pushups" so that I will be able to maybe do more than one girlie pushup.  Anyway, is there anyone who would like to start the 100 pushup challenge with me on January 1?

Leah, we will all be cheering you on!

I moved onto Day 2, week 5. This is where the sets increase, but number/set decreases. I thought it would be pretty hard but it was not terribly painful. I also am finding, oddly enough, that after a hard swim workout, instead of not being able to do pushups, I actually feel stronger!

Did my first exhaustion test yesterday after week 5.  57.  That's not too bad, but I wish I could have made 60.

Today week 6 day 1.  Middle column this week: 40,50,25,25, 42.  Final set supposed to be minimum of 50.  not so strong today apparently.  Perhaps the short swim this morning?

Hey Leah!  Just jump in on the 1st.  We are all at different levels but we will be here for you.  Some of us (me included) keep repeating days and weeks so there will still be going strong come January!

K...I'm finally moving on to week 6/day 2.

I completed day 1 today for about the umpteenth time and decided to move on no matter what the outcome:

25/30/20/15/41 = 131

So day 2, here I come...

I'm doing this challenge too (starting the first week of January). I just completed my initial test a couple days ago at 26 push-ups. Doing 100 push ups would be SO neat!

I finally moved on to day 2/week 6 yesterday but forgot to post them so here goes:

14/14/15/15/14/14/10/10/44 = 150

I'm repeating this again tomorrow.  Actually I only did 34 on my last set ~ I had to drop to my knees for the last 10.

WELCOME to all those just starting the challenge!!

I finally passed week 5 after about 3 tries!  Seems like I spent a couple of weeks on that one.

Another exhaustion test and then week 6.  Gettin close now!

Yeah, I've been slacking after having to redo week 6/day 1 a million times.  I'm planning on doing an assessment test tomorrow and starting again from there.  Everyone has been really quiet lately...

Ok - I was planning on waiting until Jan 1 but couldn't contain myself any longer so I started the challenge last nite. So - week 1 - day 1 done! Also got 200 crunches in - I know I am gonna feel that.

Yeah John, you'll really be feeling that when you go to do your next set of push ups!   I am always amazed how much you use your abs for those.

I lifted today and am trying to convince myself to do an assessment test.  However, my hubby and I are going over to The Big Island tomorrow for his birthday (which is actually today) and New Years so I won't be on the net at all until the 4th.  I figured push ups would be a perfect thing to keep me somewhat active while staying in the hotel.

Hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!!!

I took almost two weeks off over the Christmas break, and wow did it put me back.  Starting Week 6 over again.  Think I'll take a couple of days to get back in the swing of things then start counting on Monday.  I'm supposed to be in Colorado at ski races next week, but that shouldn't stop me from doing push ups eh?

OK.  I started today.  Even doing girlie pushups I can't go all the way down, but I did the program going down as far as I could.  I think I will probably do Week 1 twice, but I'm hoping that that will be all the remedial work I will need.  Truth be told, I don't see me being able to do 100 pushups in just six weeks.  Or ever.  But I will give it a go.

Good luck to all.

I saw this a few weeks ago, but I just read the website...yep, the whole thing.

I'm going to do my initial test today and start things up this weekend.

I've never had very much upper body strenght, so well see how this works out!

This is a great challenge for the new year...and it works well with the Jan. Peach Challenge also!

I decided to jump in and started it too.

I never thought that I would feel it that much ... I guess that's because I needed it

I agree so I started this again since I've slacked since finishing. It already helped me stay "peachy" 2 days this month.
