"Who Are You"

So I only intended to get on the trainer and ride for thirty minutes.  Queued up The Who's Greatest Hits to keep me company as I have taken the TV out of the sun room.   Got into the groove spinnin' and listenin' and before I knew it I rode until all songs were  played.   Just over an hour by my calculations.   Got off the bike and got some water then put on my running shoes and cranked up the tread mill.    Set it for a sedate 8 minute mile pace and ran for 12 minutes.   *I'm doing that 30 day thingie so starting conservatively.*  It felt good: nothing tinged or spoke up out of order.

Who's the Real Good Looking Boy, now?     I'm back wearing my triathlon hat and pretty darn happy about it.

Get out and enjoy the day!   70's and sunshine again.    Methinks winter is finally over. Yeah!

Awesome job.  Way to TRIATHLETE!

Jonathan's bike splits look good.  He's slowing a bit but the winds may have picked up.

ponderingfox - 2013-04-06 8:39 PM Just gotta say my Syracuse Orange are in the Final Four right now!  Playing my brother's school Michigan.  Good times.
Go Orange[men]! What happened to the scores in college basketball? I realize it's been more than 15 years since I watched faithfully, but these scores are so low. Like half time scores from back in the old days.

Ouch.  That loss is gonna hurt for awhile. Sooooo, charge or block? Surprised

That was NOT a charge!  Horrible call.  I am not a fan of either team, but I am also not a fan of a bad call ruining a great game.

Basketball is what they play when they can't make good ice.  Canucks are up 4-1 over Calgary.  BTW, did you all know it was a Canadian that invented B-Ball?

I believe it was Dr. Naismith who invented it to improve the skills of his gymnasts.

(Off to look up to see if I'm right)

ETA: I am indeed, although there were other and perhaps more primary reasons he invented it.

Very good!  The game was quite slow to begin with--they used peach baskets.  Every time a basket was scored, someone had to climb up a ladder the get the ball out.  They eventually thought to cut the bottoms out...

I had one of the best race day experiences today. TW ran and I got to take pics. I am so proud of her.

April Fool's 5K

And she had the obligatory post race beer as well.

She looks like she is having a blast!  Way to go A!

Wow, I didn't know what you were talking about Yanti, being so innocent. So I googled double penetration, and now need a good clean, my soul feels violated. When I said deep penetration, I was obviously referring to sport ointments ability to deeply penetrate the muscle to ease the pain at its origin. My mother warned me of women like you.......

Halfway and great! Some of the slightly slower run splits are probably due to potty breaks/aid stations but he's really holding steady and gutting it out well.

You can check out the first two weeks of Sheila T's new Swim Speed Workouts for free:

http://swimspeedsecrets.com/2013/03/05/try-the-first-two-weeks-of-swim-speed-workouts/

They are awesome in many ways, not the least of which is that they incorporate drills and sets you're not likely to have seen before (variety, but very useful variety, not just for variety's sake). They will challenge even the entrenched swimmer and are a creative way of approaching swim workouts for the beginner.

Not that I'd do half the crap in them ... but they are at least worth checking out and considering, maybe even trying out!!! Or parts thereof!

And YES, Competition Doggypaddle made it in!
