We've had some super duper results from the MG the last few weeks, PRs and podiums galore. Who's ready to be added to that list? Racing? spill it!!

If you're not racing, what's up for the July 4th weekend?

No racing for me this weekend. Just going to have family over to watch the fireworks. My next race will be on the 9th. This will only be my second Tri because the last race that I entered was canceled because not enough people signed up. So second race and it will be the first OWS. Nervous about that.

Mike

We're heading off to stay with friends in an old cabin in Yengo National Park, down in New South Wales; it's a bit of a Winter tradition for us, the kids love it. We stay with 3 other families and have "Christmas in July" with presents, Christmas tree etc etc. It's really cold with ice on the ground in the mornings and frost in the trees so a bit of a contrast to a real Aussie Christmas which normally means surf in the morning, prawns on the barbie and Champagne all day!

View of the valley from Big Yango Homestead in Yengo National Park (Image: DECCW)

The place we stay is very isolated and has virtually unlimited mountain biking and trail running/walking so I'll try to get my cycling hours up again.

Once we get back I've got a HM the following weekend!

Posting pics like this is not fair! I rode a lifecyle in an unventilated dungeon (are there ventilated ones?) of a Munich hotel last night watching bad television (Robinhood dubbed into German)! Bleeeeh!!! I will be on my way home within 24 hours! To quote Braveheart: FREEEEEEDOM!!!!!

Oh soooooo gorgeous!!!!! I leap-frogged on the bike with a guy wearing an Australia jersey during my race. Finally I asked him if he was an Aussie or just wearing the shirt. He was for real, still lives there. I would have loved to have ridden and chatted all day with him, but we were on the hills and I ended up in front of him and didn't see him again. Didn't see him on the run but did check for him in the results and found he finished well, so yay!

The title of my month: When you can't run for two weeks, you bike. A LOT. Fortunately, the vast majority was outside and I've really been enjoying that part. I am getting to the point where I like biking ALMOST as much as running.....swimming? eh, not so much.

June's totals:
Bike:48h 08m 18s - 868.6 Mi
Run:6h 52m 52s - 48.41 Mi
Swim:16h 41m 18s - 32550 Yd

I think these are my final totals unless something miraculous happens and I swim tonite. Moving the swim to tomorrow might be best. Kind of tired from my run this morning.

I've had this little sore throat threatening...Emergen-C!

Hey everyone . . . I've been gone for a few days but have managed to keep my training consisent. I have a 5k on Monday. It's a hometown road run that I've been watching for the past 40 years and wishing I could do. This year is the year that I'm making my debut! LOL I'm going to run just to run--the only goal is NO WALKING. The month of June has been good to me. I'm mentally in a good place right now. My first tri confirmed what I already knew, running is my physical challenge and swimming is my mental challenge.

June's totals:
Bike:14h 49m 46s - 233.38 Mi
Run:8h 35m - 44.45 Mi
Swim:8h 19m 52s - 10711.04 Yd

Run:26h 14m 38s - 180.4 Mi

I'm pretty happy with June and amazed to see some of the numbers y'all are cranking out. My bike and run are going up in July/August and I'll be happy to log as much on the bike for those two months combined as Suzy did in June on the bike.

June's totals:
Bike:17h 01m 10s - 272.65 Mi
Run:9h 49m 29s - 64.67 Mi
Swim:23h 47m 07s - 32200 M
