lvthgme - 2008-07-25 8:32 AM I don't get why ANY guy (or girl, for that matter) puts up with a head case for a SO. At all. Unless you yourself are one. But srsly...why?
Who ISN'T a "head case"?

Says the woman with no pants on!

Seriously we all have our issues, but that doesn't mean that we are all head cases. Least I don't think so. Or do I? Well maybe a little. But still. I mean. Oh, nevermind. Why do I even bother? *sigh*

No pants == WAY comfortable

+1, or truth as some would say.

I would argue that it depends on the situation:  swimming without pants - comfortable, sitting on a park bench without pants - icky (assuming of course that no suitable pants substitute is being worn).

So, question:

If we're against things like baby talk to other adults, and we assume that people here are adults (at least by physical age)....

Why on earth do we use words like "troof" and "lof"?

I missed the part where we assumed that "lof" is baby talk. It's more an accent thing.

From what planet?

Earth, silly! =) It started here in Omaha, but it's spreading across the globe. It's like the British accent...you find it everywhere. =)

Wouldn't that make it more like cockroach's?

EXACTLY. If you want to keep her around, keep that going. If you don't...go back to wuss-boy, and she'll be gone.

I always tell girls to go on dates with other guys, and call them the wrong name, etc. just to keep them wondering. It's perfectly clear that I'm joking at the time, but still... the mystery drives them wild.

Start buying flowers, talking like a baby, and saying things like "What do YOU want to do tonight?" too early on... you might as well forget it because they're gonna lose interest, fast.

I know it's a crock of crap, but that's the way it is.

Or you could never do this one. Seriously, wny do adults need to talk to each other like babies? I don't even like it when people talk to babies like babies. But then again I have a heart of stone and will likely die alone. STWISWAGOS.

No you won't!

I hate the baby talk thing, too, even when it's to babies. I really wonder what babies think about the people around them.

Or to dogs - WTF is that? It's a freakin' animal. Would you talk like that to a bear? Where's Cullen, we'll ask her.

Who's a good boy?  Who's a good boy? Ai, yai, yai.

Morning Schwamm. How are you today?

chlorinated Sorry about Crazy. Back away slowly. Then turn and RUN LIKE HELL. Seriously. No good can come of this.

Unfortunately, at this point, I may have train-wreck syndrome. Want to turn the other way, but just can't because it's sooooo weird to look at.

Sooooo she must be pretty hawt.

Well, she's definitely not ugly. I liked her in the beginning more on a "fun to do stuff and talk with" basis. Only person I've found lately with a similar take on a lot of subjects. Then a couple months later it descended into this.

Did anything specific cause her to want more space? Or was it you being 'wuss-boy' ?

Probably a combination of things.  But I did make myself to accessible for things like "I need help lifting _______." or "How do I put together ________________?" But I don't think anything of stuff like that, because it's stuff I'd do for anyone.

Here's a crazy idea; be honest. Be real. Don't play games.

I know, really radical stuff. I mean, what would the world be like if everyone were just up front about how they feel what they want. I don't even want to think about it.

Ooh, tried that one. That got me a big "I want more space" followed three weeks and a lot of space by what you've read today. I wasn't playing games.

Right, but she was. You see if everyone were just up front.. wait, didn't someone suggest that already?

You paying for gas?  If she doesn't have me scheduled to work at the animal shelter I may be able to come, but I may have to ask permission first.

Seriously, though...that is something she said we're going to do.  Along with take her for a motorcycle ride before I sell my bike, and something else.  I told her I've got a 2 hr 35mi+ bike ride on Sunday and if she can keep up she's welcome to come along.

Yup, that was it.

You can still do that stuff, without being wuss-boy. For example.

Psycho-b*tch: Can you come over around 7 and help me put together my new dresser?

You: No (pause to let her kinda process that)... I'll come over at 8:30. I prefer Sierra Nevada, and make sure it's cold. (followed by a devious sarcastic laugh)

You still help her, yet you're not a pushover.

Oh no, Sprint.  I think Ryna just gave the advice to you, that you gave to me.  Does this mean I will have to the advice Ryna, that Ryna gave to you?
