Gotta revive this thread.  We've had over 8 inches of rain since yesterday evening.  Not sure exactly since the rain gauge was overflowing this morning.  Our seasonal pond (cropland runoff) is up to about 8 acres.  There's no way we'll be able to cut hay next week, which was our last chance to get a third cutting.  I had to run inside today.  It took us over an hour and 3 detours to get home tonight and there's no guarantee that we'll be able to get to work in the morning.  And it's still raining. Yell

I ran in light rain/mist from about 5:30 to 6:30 tonight, not too bad.  Sump pump is running almost continually.  Hope it doesn't fail me now!

I did the same around 7, I just couldn't run inside.  It wasn't too bad, but I was definitely wet.

I thankfully had a day off yesterday.  Today a short run.  I just hope it clears up for the Gophers game tomorrow night.  Running in the rain is blah, but at least your moving.  Sitting in the rain is cold and wet.  I'll go either way, it's just more fun when it's not raining.

I'm not really following a "schedule" per se, but I have been mostly running.  So, today will be the first time back in the pool after a good long rest...

Not sure about the snow, but we have howling winds here.  Sustained mid 30's, gusts mid 40's.  Couldn't run if you wanted to.  I got blown off my sidewalk coming in from the car.

I got out for a few miles last night.  Wind was nasty but had no rain.  It was actually a good day for a run.

I've got a 6-mile run scheduled for tonight and really really REALLY don't want to do it at the gym.  I can deal with the cold, and even the wind to some extent.  It's those sleet stingers to the face that drive me nuts.

Once I got outside last night I realized I could have ran on sheltered paths.  Too bad I only had my swimsuit with me   oh well, it was about time I got back in the pool.

I hope you guys didn't get too much damage, other than small tree branches and other tree debris.    Our BT friend Hydro will apparently be getting a new garage (and maybe new car)

Yes!   I love this thread.

Bailed on a race in Centerville this morning - simply too far to drive in this crud.   But I am having a really hard time motivating myself to do anything from my house right now...  How wet do I want to get, really?

I thought about resurrecting this thread this morning.  Glad I wasn't the one to do it.  We only have about an inch of wet slush on the ground.  I saw 11" in Mankato.  Yipes!  Better get the snowblower hooked up to the tractor soon.

My depression about not having my bike on the roads again until the salt is gone in the spring was replaced when I realized my lake is starting to freeze around the edges. I'll be outside playing hockey in no time

Freezing rain, sleet, howling winds...  I'd rather have snow.  This is not good at all.  At least I don't have to go anywhere in it.  Single digits overnight.  Guess we'll have to bring horses in and get out the electric buckets.  <sigh>

It's snowing up here.  I guess you guys are "in the South."   I definitely wouldn't want to be in your shoes with the farm work.

Studded Tires ROCK!!!!

I ran at the health club on a sould-sucking treadmill today, but got a nice bike ride in on the trail in this snow/sleet/ice.

Best part of my run today: seeing footprints in the snow with the telltale squiggly crisscross pattern of Yak-Traks and thinking, "there's another crazy runner out here somewhere.......poor bastard"
