I thought it was supposed to be minty too but when I had half of one last week, it tasted.....non minty.  I have no words to describe how it tasted though.  No clue on the flavor.  But Cole loved it.

Somehow the fact that it's supposed to be minty (which I love) yet you got one that was a flavor other than minty makes me want one even more.

That's how I remember it.  It was supposed to be minty, but it was actually a weird not-really-minty flavor. I'm not sure it's good, either, just addictive.
OK, I was becoming intrigued. Until I read this on that website: "Information that you might want to know: a 32-ounce Shamrock Shake contains 1,110 calories and 26 grams of fat, according to the McDonald's website." Now, I'm a little less intrigued. I still may try one though.
Holy crap... after seeing the calorie count in print I may never have a milkshake again! If only this kind of of reality therapy worked on those cookies...

Hey at least they are not faking it or advertising it is good for you like the companies that got busted by the FDA did!

Just workout harder and enjoy the shake!

A couple hundred cal treat, I can enjoy because I know if I work hard I can make it up. Over a thousand... can't quite imagine that the pain to work it off is worth it...

dermoski - 2010-03-04 2:09 PM Afternoon bEASTies...I skimmed the 6 pages of posts since I was last on.  I see we're still talking about food.  FWIW I LOVE the Shamrock shakes from McD's, we don't have Chik Fil-A here, I didn't have choclate for breakfast, but I did eat 2 handfuls of gummie bears at lunch!

I tried a shamrock shake tonight. It was my first one ever and I enjoyed it.

OK, I'll put "Shamrock shake" back on the list of things to try.

I'll ignore the calorie count.... Too bad my hips won't.

ironannekidd - 2010-03-04 6:38 AM Good morning everyone.

I am feeling better today. Instead of the headache all the junk is draining down my throat.

I plan to get a short run in today. It is my son's 10th birthday so I don't have a lot of time. Need to be out and back by the time he gets home. He's bringing 2 friends home with him tonight.

I have the house to myself on Saturday and the temp is supposed to be near 50. I am looking forward to riding my bike outside this weekend.

It is supposed to be warm here too.  I am test riding a tri bike on Sunday!!!!

I think I will wait on starting taxes til Monday....no unfair influences on my decision that way.

******Sweet tribike TopPage******

SWEET!

What are you test riding?

It's a 2009 Felt B16.  It's about $600-700 off since its last year's model

SWEET BIKE!!!!

Sorry to hear about the kiddo!  Hope he feels  better soon!

Hello All,  Only day four and I am pretty tired--I might have been a little optimistic in my goal-setting.  Oh well, I have no choice but to succeed.  Mostly, because I am petrified of that barbecue fork taser thingie.  Will do a trainer ride and some strength training tonight.  Have a great day, Jackie

I've just written your name on the barbecue fork taser thingie. BTW, the cows don't like it, either.

Oh man, remind me not to fall behind in my goals!  Eeeeeep!

Yeah, not very diet-friendly (hey it IS McDonald's) but tasty from what I remember!  I still can't decide whether to have one and run the risk of being disappointed though!  Maybe I can have one after a long run, when I'm going to need to, uhm, replenish my glycogen stores Wink

OK, I worked up a team roster. I had a hard time figuring out what background picture should go with East, beast, wind, March so let me know what you think. If it's not showing up here as a picture you can see it on my log page.

I REALLY like the picture... BUT -- did you notice the name of the OTHER team?

Here's their team table:

That said, I'm going to put it on my blog now.

Nom!  I am headed out today to get some coffee (we ran out, I am in a state of panic right now) and I think I'll have to pick up a Cadbury cream egg and some of those egg shaped M&Ms.  I love those.  But they won't help me lose 4 pounds will they??

I stayed awake until 9:00 (what a night ow!) watching American Idol.  You know, mindless tv.  Up at 5:00 to start the day.  I thought it was supposed to be nice outside today but the new forecast is for snow.  I guess I don't mind too much since Cole is home from school.  Poor kid is missing movie and ice cream day at school.  But, his teacher is gonna send home the movie with Alex and I'm gonna take him out for ice cream.  I know, it's a sacrifice for me but I will do what I have to for my children.

I only had a small. I have no idea how many calories were in it. It was my son's birthday so that means the calories don't count, right?

I did skip the cake since I had the shake.

This is correct.  The birthday/anniversary calorie count formula is calories / number of calories burned that day x 0 = no birthday guilt!

Got a swim in last night - run too, but that doesn't count toward the bEASTties a$$-kicking triumph.  Strength training and guilt free alcoholic birthday bevvies this weekend.  Not MY birthday, but the formula still applies.

With my race tomorrow, I am planning to do not much of anything that counts today. If I can stay awake I do plan to work on painting the kids/guest bathroom though. I need to get this done! It's also a great way to avoid the inlaws, who have just decided they are coming to our house for the weekend. Lovely...
