I was able to get the inflammation down and work on recovery/preventing it from getting worse. |

Elite 4435 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED Manatees take me off that disabled list - yeah slightly giddy but nothing serious. Swam 2.8km last night OWS and didn't roll over so that's good enough to say I don't have labyrinthitis. Got inspired and motivated by some squad members last night. So here it is people putting it out there.....read it and weep. IM Melbourne 6 weeks and 3 days to go. I have trained a lot for the last 4 months focussing on running and swimming with a bit of drainer stuff here and there. So 6 weeks of bike intensive focus coming right up. Starts Saturday. Yep the bike is going outside. if this unclipping stop start thing freaks me out, it's running shoes and pedals - don't care. Funny listening to a podcast the other day about a book called Just Ride - the guy in there comments when studying riders we do not pull and push in perfect circles even with clip in shoes etc. He said you get just as an effective down stroke with normal pedals..... This could be the answer! Woohoo! Anyway thanks for bearing with me - it's been a rocky road so far. I am going to be an Ironman. |

I thought the same last night and it was 34 C......93F! same here Jo, although this morning it was down to 16 (that's 60*F) which is the coolest it's been for weeks, I even had to put on long sleeves. Just cause I'm running Mega late for work....again I'm gonna do this all in one post. Tom - I have a Road Machine by Kurt Kinetic, paid way too much for it cause I got home from the US in June last year and it rained here for 10 days straight so I just went a got it at the LBS cause I really needed to go for a ride. I think in the US you could get a new one for half what I paid for mine oh well, patience. Jane -I have been using "Blister Bandages" for my blisters I got them from Walmart I think they cost me maybe $5. They seem to work good, I ran on Tuesday with them on my fresh blisters from Sunday and barely even noticed them. If you use them no matter how tempted you are DO NOT PULL THEM OFF leave them on until they fall off. They have something in them that takes the moisture out of the blister and re-adheres the skin to your foot. If you peel them off too soon then you will take off mega amount of your skin, just leave them on till they fall off. Maybe you could put them on your blisters and then puttee duct tape over the top if you were going to do that. But I noticed no new rubbing when I had them on.Yanti - you need to find yourself some Silica made by Schuessler Tissue Salts. It is great for expelling toxins and crap from your body in a very gentle way. Great for getting rid of mucus and stuff like that. It is an Natural product made in Australia, here it can normally be found in chemists but if you can't get any let me know and I will send you some. We have even used it to expel grass seeds from our dogs body and it works great.I hope every one has a great day got to run gonna be mega late again now.Edited by StaceyK 2013-02-06 6:15 PM |

Easy to set up, pretty portable - had it over a year has served me well. Haven't noticed any wear and tear on the tire either. It's as quiet as a trainer can be. If you're a good cyclist would you consider rollers? I'm not good enough. |
