Tejas is slowing down just a little bit, very normal for 2nd half of HIM even with ideal run training ... it's a miracle he's gotten himself here and he is going STRONG!!!

HM race report!  Will post pictures soon.

I had a good run, and I know I can do better.  I ran 1:49.05, which is close-ish to my goal of 1:44, and under 1:50, which is awesome.

Ahem, done in a NEON flash.  Hey, first place had the same color shoes, and I believe second place had the same model and color.  Just sayin'.

Of course neon flashing is faster. Totally clashing neon flashing is fastest, though

Drive by post as I'm about to hit the road to head back to Orlando - this was not my best race, in fact, I almost abandoned in the swim. I blame the wet suit ( which I don't usually have to use)as I could not breathe. Made for a really bad, really tiring, really slow swim, but i eventually made it through.

Short update of my 10k.

Horrible nights sleep (again) then woke up tired, late and rushing to get sorted before my hour's drive to get to registration. Then had to walk my wife and daughter to the finish line before heading back to the star line (about 4k walk).

Didn't hydrate properly, missed breakfast and managed a quarter flapjack whilst driving to event.

Finally got running and was looking for excuses to walk by 3k. Everyone was passing me. Breathing was shocking, no rythm, soooo pleased to see the water station at 5.5k which i took as my only walking opprtunity for about 15 secs. By 7k i began to settle and actually pushed really hard for the last 500m.

Finally crossed the finish line 47 secs faster than last year, but could have been so much better. Tough race in near perfect conditions. Dont know whether to be happy about the small improvement or gutted that it could have been so much betterUndecided

your "near perfect" sounds like my "near perfect"--awash in ale and still pushing through stale food, no sleep, walked way too much, haven't trained blah blah blah you have learned well, young Padu-froggy!

CONGRATULATIONS FROGGY!

More detail later but well done JJ Foxy Tom Froggy and Ann Marie. Wetsuit constriction coach Johnny says pull sleeves up higher and then shoulders right up oh and practice swimming in it... No blisters Froggy? A time improvement I'd take that. Double penetration well I can't say much more to that..

Well, Froggy... it's over and you did see improvement. Though I can't help but wonder what a circle of Manatees could've done for you instead of that line

First HIM Yea!!!!!

Can't wait to go back and read the messages. Need food and water first

My swim was great, could have gone harder but I held back. I was 4 minutes faster than I had planned. The bike course kicked my . The winds were bad crosswinds first 28 and then shifted to headwinds last 28. Even the Pro's were 2-3 mph slower than they had hoped. I started at my ideal pace on the run but got way over heated. Finally after getting some ice I cooled down and ran pretty well until mile 8. The last 4 miles I stopped and walked through the aid stations to try and cool down. Had so much fun!!

First 1.2 mile open water swim ever

First 56 mile bike ride ever

First 13.1 mile run ever

And I did them back to back after 3 months of IT Band Pain. I'm thrilled!!!

and no IT Band Issues on the run!!!
