cobratodd - 2013-05-09 11:06 AM 5 hour ride this weekend - I really hope it doesn't rain...  BUT, I am getting really excited for the Rev3!!!  I just hope to get an OWS locally, before the event.  Maybe the 18th will be my first of the year.

I'm with you on that.  I have 4:40, I'm contemplating riding the Quassy Half and then Olypmic courses.  Could be interesting.

I did that exact double loop last Saturday, then ran the Griskus run.  I'll be there about 8:30 on Sunday morning, hope the weather works out.

It's so easy to get lost on the Rev3 route - I was using mapmyride with my iPhone, but out there, the phone works so hard to keep 3G service, the battery dies in no time, plus it gets super hot.  At about mile 47, it was dead, luckily, I tagged along with other riders till I hit RT61 and I remembered how to get back from there because I had done Griskus a few times.

I really need to do the Rev3 run course - that has me a bit concerned - I may drive it to see how hilly it is.

A good portion of it is on a bike path / dirt road so its diffcult to drive.  Its one of the hilliest run courses I've ever seen.

Gorgeous day here today too! Sunny and warm.

Not racing this weekend, but going to do my first century ride. Looking forward to it, but the nice weather is not supposed to carry into tomorrow. Overcast, likely rain showers, and possible thunder.

1:10 run today with some intervals thrown in there.  Rest day on Saturday (if you can call it that.....4 soccer games and lots of other stuff to accomplish).  Sunday long ride and run.  I was all pumped to get outside for the first time this year and now I hear it's going to rain.  Temps are dipping back into the 40s.  Really?  That's all I wanted for Mother's Day.  Guess I'll have to be happy with the gluten free pancakes and bacon I requested from my husband.

I checked out the hotel fitness area and they have the stationary bikes with the big seats. I am supposed to do :40 bike tomorrow in ZR - is it ok to use those bikes just to spin out the legs?

Good luck, Michele!

I swam 2900m at Masters this morning.  Tomorrow is off to help my kids fete their mother (breakfast in bed!), and then I'm going up to Columbia, MD Sunday to ride the bike course and run some of the run course in advance of the Columbia Olympic next Sunday...

Easy, easy spin of the legs this morning.  I have 2:30 on the bike this weekend and a :25 minute easy trun.  Picking up my friend's race wheels tomorrow and dropping the bike off to get tuned up on Sunday.

I feel like I could sleep for about 4 days straight right now.  LOL.

Yes indeed!  Whole point of the pre-race spin is just to loosen up your legs.  Gym bike is fine for that.

The Columbia bike is a beast.  Its a great race but a tough bike course.

Question of the day ---  What are your bucket list races?

If the Iron distance works out for me, then I really want to do IMCdA.  I've wanted to do that one since I started training for triathlon.  Tricky issue is that the really heavy training is during soccer season, and it looks like all my kids want to stick with soccer.  If I were to do an international race, it would be South Africa.  Any other full IMs would be Cedar Point or Beach 2 Battleship.

Alcatraz is at the very top of my list.  I want to put my name in for the lottery (opens in September).

If I ever do a full marathon, I want it to be in Chicago.  I'm a midwestern girl at heart, and I love Chicago.  I grew up visiting the city.  Having said that, I'm not sure I'll ever do one.  We'll see.

Hour on the trainer and 1100 in the pool this morning. I had hoped to ride outside but there was still drizzle and a lot of fog this morning so I decided against it. I'm going to get my run in at lunch. It is perfect out now.

Bucket list would be Boston and NY Marathons. Alcatraz would be cool. For an IM any of them but obviously Kona is the dream. I'd also love to do one of the bike tours where you go from Maine to Florida or Vancouver to Tijuana over the course of a couple of weeks.

Honestly haven't given the race bucket list much thought.  I know I eventually want to do any IM, any would do truthfully.  I haven't really done a lot of looking around as far as races.  Heck I haven't even looked at/considered any races outside of a 3 hour drive from me.
