If you have a taste for craft brewed beer, San Diego is one of the best places to visit!

Oh I know. I lived there for a while, and I enjoyed a LOT of craft beer

I totally want to do this race some day.  Haven't been out to Coronado in 25+ years.

I'm sleepy and coffee isn't cutting it today

Awww !

Yeah I got an email from the charity I ran with and they are guaranteed 60-something spots this year and for a brief second thought about signing up. But then remembered I don't want to do a marathon this year.

I am thinking of doing a fall marathon. Something close. Maybe Chicago, again. I dunno -- maybe something like MIlwaukee? Or Indianapolis?

You really think you're going to be living there in the fall? I'd look for Austin or PHX marathons, if I were you.

Not sure why, but I have been craving Mac n Cheese.  SO, made an absolutely fabulous one in my cast iron skillet.  Loaded with turkey bacon and a Mexican cheese blend...  I had to ration it out or I would have eaten the entire skillet full.

Oh, doing something interesting tomorrow.  The wife got US a gig filming for Brain Games tomorrow.  It's some battle of the sexes thing.  I hope the test is not something that men are basically meant to fail..

ETA:  My internet sucks balls today.  It's running, but takes about 60-90 seconds for a page to finish loading.

Chicago highs this week - 19, 10, 10, 19, 18

Austin highs this week - 70, 45, 63, 81, 70

Why, again, not that soon??

Been talking to Eliza recently about moving to either Austin, Galveston, or Corpus Christie.   We're just completely sick of living in the North.

You'd like Austin....lots to do and a very eclectic city....and very athlete friendly.

Galveston is not as cool....plus they're usually in the path of a hurricane and/or tropical storm.

You spelled Christi wrong, so I'd suggest not moving there.....just based on that (and the fact that it's basically the same as Galveston)

I'll blame Chrome for that; I'm convinced it has its own hidden auto-correct that randomly changes the spelling of words in my posts just as I hit submit.

I've never been to any of the above, but based purely on climate and location, I'd love to check out all of them.  Hurricanes don't bother me much as long as there is some shelter on high ground somewhere that we can get to if needed.   I like the idea of being right on/near the Gulf Coast with lots of warm tropical water.

You don't find the thread about paint sprayers utterly fascinating?

I wasted some time reading up on the women's 3000m at US champs: http://running.competitor.com/2014/02/news/grunewald-disqualified-as-u-s-3000m-champion_95719

It's been entertaining so far!

I'm on the never-ending conference call with HR.
We need hundreds of engineers all of the sudden. The told us about this Friday at 4 p.m. We gave them a loose communications plan today, and then today they say we need everything ready to start being executed (ads, social media, billboards, LinkedIn, etc.) in the next 5-10 days. Never mind we haven't begun to talk with our ad agency to tell them our needs. Because, ya know, they just told us at 4 p.m. Friday.

HR people. Stop it.

This is just 1 of 5 major initiatives/campaigns we are currently engaged in with HR. With a staff of 2 on our end, and HR being only 1 of our customers, the math is not really adding up.

But I don't expect HR people to be good at math.
Ba dum!
