I don't wear glasses/contacts at all. This chick I've been hanging out with a little works as a tech for an optomitrist. She did her little eye test thing on me, then told me I sucked cuz my vision was so good

They're really sensitive to light, though. My eyes are often closed in pictures because of the flash, and I wear sunglasses even if it's kinda cloudy. I can see really well at night, however.

That's because you are the spawn of Satan...

HA.

Actually, my parents might as well be preachers...

Hence all the CS Lewis-readin'.

lvthgme - 2008-07-17 8:26 AM I feel like I'mna be sick.  Not sure why but I did yesterday, too.  I'm wondering if it's this new lotion.

Morning sickness?

Morning TAN.  I am back from the 'burgh.

What'd you think? I <3 Pittsburgh.

Absolutely awesome city with a lot of great people.  Not at all what I thought of when someone said Pittsburgh.

BTW - maybe I was just lucky, but there seemed to be a disproportinately large amount of well-endowed women in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Yeah, so when you going to put up the Race Reports, bucko?!?!

Not to sound quite a bit unlike myself, but something happened at the beginning of the week that made the races absolutely trivial, so the race reports will come later.  I am currently authouring the sory of the week in my blog.  It is quite long, but absolutely amazing, and I will say that I cried real tears for the first time in maybe 15 years or more.  I didn't say my eyes watered.  Tears.  I will let you know when the novel is complete.

I've never been overly enthralled with Pittsburgh, but that's me.  It has gotten cleaner in more recent history, but it's still a pain to get around.

Never been there - was going to apply to Carnegie Mellon for undergrad but decided against that Pittsburgh was a bit too far away and also heard the city was kind of a pit. I have a friend who is from near Pittsburgh (Eighty-Four, to be exact) and he calls that part of the state "Pennsyl-tucky". That was enough for me.

Dude, no wonder you need 3 pairs of goggles! Have I cracked the code? Is THAT why you wear several pairs? Is one of them prescription and it's easier than changing out sunglasses, etc?

Dude. I don't wear three pairs of goggles. You don't hear them calling me `3Goggs' do ya? SHeesh. For an uppity east-coaster I'd expect more from you. You make me sad.

Well carp.

Who's gonna keep me company this afternoon?!?

You kids have fun and safe vacations and times off and such.

In other news, I now have a connection at the auto dealer's car auctions. Yo would be AMAZED at the auction prices cars go for. NICE cars too.

I might be in trouble. I think I see an M Coupe in my near future...

Teehee... No, I just think there was one picture I saw of you where you had 2 around your neck and one pair on. That would make 3.

I've been to Eighty-Four. That's where 84 lumber originated. I've met the owner... he's dating a Playboy Playmate or something that's like 50 years younger than him. HAHAHA.

That's not true about Pittsburgh, though. I don't know why people think that.

Scout, it IS a pain to get around if you aren't familiar with the city. Once you learn it... it's really easy to get around.

Dunno - but this guy grew up there. So I figured he probably wasn't lying that it was kinda ghetto. But again, I've never been there.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of the old M hatchbacks.  I can't remember what they're called.  And yeah, you can get some decent deals on cars at the auction...especially if you're looking at top-end stuff like that.

crowny2 - 2008-07-17 10:18 AM I have 20/15 vision.

GFY

I'd get Lasik, but I don't trust that in 20 years, my eyeballs aren't going to shrivel up and fall out of my head or something. Not enough long term studies on this.

Tee hee.

I actually have the same issue as Ryan.  I wear Sunglasses on cloudy days.  I have pretty good night vision.

I wonder if I'm part vampire.

Parts of it are still a pit.  Oakland comes to mind.

Mostly, I've never had much desire to go.  Can't even get a good cheesesteak.

I wear sunglasses year-round, and even if it's overcast. It's good to protect your eyes, even if you have good vision and your eyes aren't sensitive.

Don't the auto auctions require a dealer's license to participate?

I'm a big fan of the M-series Bimmers. My problem with them is they're so flippin' heavy. If I had the choice, though, I'd rock the M6. M3s can be insanely fast but few M buyers are willing to go whole-hog on their cars, so I'd routinely bi***slap them around in the MR2 and the WRX.

Sigh. I miss my cars.

Yeah, Oakland, Homestead, and the Hill District are ghetto... but the rest of the city is nice.

I'm not much of a cheesesteak guy anyway. They have some kickin' steakhouses and awesome bars... so that's good enough for me.

Of course, your definition of those things are different than mine.
