I was able to get 12.2 miles in this morning on my first commute to work. It was great to ride my bike...I felt terrific. The road was nice and pretty flat. I was able to go 17.2 mph which is fast for me. I look forward to my ride home....another 12.2 miles. Yesterdays flat was caused by a staple...we store my bike in the home office area in the basement.

I will have 161.72 miles in or 81% of my 200 mile goal with 3-12 mile rides scheduled.

Go Goddessess!!

Those bone bones are dumping their other workouts like rats off a sinking ship - the desparation is palpable. We should probably put them out of their misery now by pulling ahead so they can get on with their lives.

That's mighty big talk coming from someone with 2 swims and 2 runs all month!!!

Madcow, my teammates may think I'm a traitor for writing this, but I don't mind reading your smack talk at all. Just another excuse to look at your fine form in red lycra. My complements to HappyCow (and no wonder she's happy!).

As I have clearly stated previously, June and July were PLANNED biking months in anticipation of my participation in RAGBRAI and the end of July.  August is planned back to three sport training  - so if you see any different at that time, feel free to chime in.

Geez Marma, you're a spaz!

Ok ladies, my back has been out of comission, but I'm gonna try to get back in the saddle today. With that and my race this weekend, I'll be darn near 100%. Then with those last few days of the month, I'll be over 100, no problem. Go get 'em, ladies!!!!

27 miles this morning puts me at 87%.

I'm looking at somewhere between 110-120% by the end of June...about 550 miles.

Now I realize I have a lot of time on my hands that others don't enjoy...but still...we all need to pull together. It is down to the wire, we need to encourage our lagging teamates while simultaneously riding every possible mile.

RIDE GODDESSES! EVERY MILE..EVERY 1/2 MILE..BRINGS US CLOSER TO DE-TESTOSTERBONING THE BOYS!  WE NEED YOU!

EVEN IF YOU CAN'T MAKE YOUR GOAL, THE CLOSER YOU GET THE EASIER IT IS FOR THE REST OF US TO MAKE IT UP.

 DON'T GIVE UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Heh. Just think... if we detestosterboned them, we'd also be emasculating them by sweeping All Three Sports!

Swim Challenge - Girls Won

Run Challenge - Girls Won!

Bike Challenge - ????????

I would be both joyous for the girly-girls but weep for our men. Oh the shame of it, when they lose the third challenge...

Hi Goddesses!

As of Sunday, I am 104.5/100.  I came down with a  case of bronchitis Monday and haven't been doing ANY training since.  But have no fear, as soon as my lungs clear up I will be hitting the bike again to boost my % of goal achieved.

Thanks for the challenge.  It's made a HUGE difference in my biking confidence.  This is the most I 've ever biked.  Heck, I only rode 300 miles in the whole year of 2004 and now look at me!!!!  Whoooo hooo!!!!

Come on girls - come back! I found this thread almost at the bottom of the page. What is going on? I had 5 pages of this thread to catch up on when I got back from MN and now there is no chatter at all. Did you all say "shhhhhhh, Malgal is back, we had better stop the chatter"? What is worse is that testybones are up near the top of the list with their thread. I am not comfortable with them beating us AT ANYTHING!!

Well, I got out and rode a little harder than I had planned. 17.72 miles of some nasty rolling hills which are more like little mini-mountains. But the good news is that it takes me to 278.23/350 = 79%

Subject: updated progress for Goddesses

Ladies, my unofficial calculation puts us at an aggregrate goal attainment of 75.44. As we are 77% through the month, this is good with respect to meeting our goal. However, as the boneheads are pushing for 120% goal attainment, this is not so good with respect to winning the challenge.

We have 7 days left for a big push. Do little rides, big rides, whatever rides you can put in. I will do a ride Friday morning (regularly scheduled) and after my Ocean Mile Swim Race on Saturday morning I intend to ride everyday for the rest of the month, even if I get only 5-10 miles in each day.

Big push time! I don't know about you, but I HATE that the ladies have to start behind the men during triathlons. This is our chance to come in ahead of the boys in ALL 3 SPORTS.

Swim Challenge: Chycks smoked the Dycks!

Run Challenge: Girls spanked the boys!

Bike Challenge: ???????????????

3peat is in our grasp. Oh, the glory (and titillation) of spanking boy-bottoms in ALL THREE SPORTS!

Afterwards, we can be lady-like and offer them milk and cookies, as consolation. I intend to have an ice cold beer to celebrate our victory.
