Awesome job Rick! How are you feeling now that you are in uncharted territory?

(see- we read your posts, we're just in awe)

Hey, fellow LEMmings- how many of you peeps will be doing the Feb challenge? Same format as this one so maybe we can have basically the same running team.

I'm upping my goal to 100 for the month which is a bit of a reach since I won't have the padding of a 39.3 mile weekend plus Feb is a short month. I've hit 100 three times since I started logging on BT but I'm trying a different approach of shorter more consistent runs so I'm trying to run at least 5 days a week and put together consistent mileage month after month. This is a long term plan that will hopefully pay off in run improvement. Of course I need to start riding again too so I can actually run when I leave T2

Rick - Congratulations on your PB distance! That's great!

Xterratri - I tried put the majority of the "high mileage runners" together on this team for this challenge. You'll see what I mean if you compare the "total team mileage" of your team to the others.... My job has gotten busier, so I'll have less time to consider things like this in February, BUT, there is a "comments" column on the sign-up spreadsheet, for things like teammate requests. So yes, you can request to be with your LEM team members.

20 miles down today. It hurt, and was slow, but I'm glad I got it out of the way. One more of those before the marathon in 5 weeks. It seems like I've been preparing for this race forever.

I'm in for next month, but at slightly lower mileage, as I taper.

The update is a little early today, but I have some "work work" that I still need to do, so.... Here it is!

January Challenge Week 4 Update
Ranking Team # of Participants Percentage Completed
1 Who's Your Marmadaddy? 13 98.11%
2 Scrambled Legs 13 90.67%
3 Flying Fish 15 88.77%
4 Loving Every Mile – L.E.M. 13 86.36%

9 Team Ride Lots 13 66.48%

CONGRATULATIONS to Who's Your Marmadaddy? This is the THIRD week in a row that they've had the top ranking!

BUT remember that the challenge isn't over yet! Some of the teams are really close.

January is now 87.1% completed. This is the FINAL WEEK of the challenge, so RUN, BIKE, SWIM! There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking!

Hey, as always, thanks for your hard work.

It is still early on Sunday here and I just finished today's run.  I've updated the spread sheet.  Hopefully you can find some time to update the team results.  I know how busy you are, though.

 Thanks..

Ya I just updated my miles too, just finished my run and added like 30 miles to my spreadsheet or whatever, puts me at 104/90.

I am also closing in on my bike goal for the mont 246/300. 8).

Got back up to a 9 mile run 1 mile cool down, best distance in a few weeks due to altitude and soreness, seems to be getting back to nearly where I was eariler this month if still somewhat slow.

Hey all - I'm dropping out of the challenge. I caught a coughing plague from my co-workers, and spent the weekend in bed sick. I'm not going to be able to run again until later in the week, and with no miles since friday, I won't be able to meet my goal. I'll cheer y'all on between coughing fits and napping.

LEMmings... bad news. I have come down with a sinus infection. The good news is that I am under 1 mile to my goal. I hope that helps us out in some form, but unfortunately I probably won't get that last mile done in the next couple of days... sorry.

Actually, walking counts, so get out there and go for a quick walk around the block and get that mile in!

The rule of thumb is above the neck, train, below the neck, rest!
