Hey, saw the luv2ride threads.  Planning to put 1945 on my leg (under the tri shorts) for tomorrow's race.  I'll post a pic at the finish line.

Thinking we could have a new thread with pics like that.

Just got word that they are evacuating Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids due to the basement filling with water and possible loss of power.  It is one of two hospitals in CR and it is fairly big.

I have evacuated patients in the field before - but I would have no idea how they are going to go about doing this and where they are going to put the patients.  I assume they have contingency plans.  Good gracious.

That's awful. As you know, they have contingency plans for such things, but what a frightening and massive undertaking, which never goes quite right ... as these things go.

Great idea!  Think everyone's still planning to do it even tho the local RD caught wind and requested we don't -- not like anyone's wearing a speedo so the # could be seen -- I hope!

CO is dang cold still -- frost on the hot tub cover this morning.

Strap some pontoons to the church.  Seems like a redneck solution.

Actually - Boone shouldn't have an issue.  Very small river + no tributaries = slightly flooded banks.  I think they'll be cool

I live in Urbandale (Des Moines).  My wife works downtown.  They are being evacuated.  The levee we have been trying to reinforce for the last two night (see my blog) may be failing.  It will send a rush of water into the down town area if this happens.

Oh dear.

Makes your "location" under your avatar kind of ironic, now.

Well, I'm certainly hoping for the best for you guys.
