Newtons1st - 2010-06-11 9:04 AM Easy tiger, you need to save the testosterone for the race. I dont think all that action is on your taper list.

Trin2bfast - 2010-06-10 2:59 PM On a Cankle-less note.... Who's racing this weekend? (besides cow print racer and his herd of cow print friends!)

Last good weekend of training for me before BSLT... next weekend is the wife & I's 15th Anniversary celebratory weekend... La Toretta Resort.  Couples massage, nice dinner, chillin' by the pool and a nice breakfast.  Followed closely by a romantic trip to scenic Lubbock, TX the following weekend!

But the best kind of taper.  Don't forget Ken got hardware after our little couples vacation!  Kind of gives new meaning to hardware Surprised

I might need a lil' more rest & relaxation then Kenny-O did...
BSLT ain't no super sprint... If he pulls that lil' feat off next year when he ventures north to BSLT, then he can post all about his 'hardware enduced taper time'...      Otherwise, Ken's BFF is right... TMI!!!      muahahahahahaha!

Holy Crap!  In the pages and pages I was behind on I learned how slow I swim, my coach is working on actually becoming a coach and quite a bit about my "hardware".

I guess it pays to get behind and stay heck out of the discussion for a week.

Well I know Ken has asked for some before and after pictures and I just came across this picture..... so here you go. When I first started to lose weight I was over 268lbs, got down to about 240 then started riding, then started tri training last May and may first sprint was in August.

Before (2008) at over 268lbs and after (2010) at about 192lbs. Total lose of 76lbs. For some reason put wrong date on Pic????

Great job Justin!  Healthier and now faster!

Kim, besides you trying to play Super Dave with an AUTO-MObeeeele and spiking your HR.... I hope your birthday weekend was good - filled with lots of cake!

EvD did it again!  Laid down some blazin' fast times!  That frickin' gator can swim, then he jumps on his plenty nice - high speed, low drag D6 and blasts off to nearly a 25 avg... and if that wasn't enough he runs sub 7 in some seriously hot humid temps!  Let me just say... FAST GUYS SUCK! HA!

Great job there fearless fast leader of the MG!

I hope everyone else had an equally great weekend...

Can everyone please do us BSLT'ers a huge favor... Pray, beg, bribe, or do something, so that we may enjoy a cool front in Lubbock, Texas in two weeks... otherwise the suck-O-meter is gonna be pegged!  Running in these temps & humidity is just brutal!

HA! Not sure what I did but thanks guys, it was a fun weekend of racing.  Some crazy fast athletes out there which I enjoyed racing with! Really enjoyed the swim course, it was the first swim I could call challenging with the waves/current since most of my races have been in ponds/lakes.

Some pics of the new D6 setup which I'm not sure if I shared or not and the race this weekend...
http://picasaweb.google.com/eric.vondohlen/061310SylvanBeachTri

My fingers are crossed for you BSLT folks, cold front with no wind. My guess is still going to be hot but hopefully no humidity which should make it at least semi-bearable!

Stan, great job hanging in there after that swim!  I can't believe you even attempted to race after that trip.  I used to travel regularly to Japan and it would take me days to recover.  My PT was a volunteer at the race. I'll see if she has any scoop on the actual swim distance.

Anyone get to watch the 70.3 worlds this weekend? We were out on the boat too long yesterday so I didn't get a chance to watch it and we don't have any of that fancy DVR stuff

I've searched the internet high/low and can't seem to find a place to watch it so if anyone knows of one shoot me an email/pm please!

Thanks, i'm curious to hear what they say about the swim.  In hindsight racing probably wasn't the wisest thing to do.  I initially didn't want my trip to be an excuse not to race, especially since I don't have many scheduled, but racing probably wasn't the safest thing to do.
