82 here but if it makes you feel any better it will be very windy.  Which my allergies love

Hoping for the sun to break through here; right now it's foggy and 9C but supposed to go up to 17C. Maybe short sleeves for the ride home!

Yep. That almost describes it here -- not quite that extreme, but close. 87 yesterday; the same expected today. A week ago, snow and low 30s. A cold front is coming through tonight, so rain and mid 30s in the forecast for tomorrow and Thursday. One of my baseball guys was complaining about it today. It has been a horrible spring for playing college ball.

I am so ready for it to be in the 90s.

Oh look. I came back home and there was a new blanket of snow on the ground. Fantastic! :/ I had a really great weekend in DC though. Walked around way too much on Sat but still managed a 1:55 for the half.

April is over! Wow, that was a fast month. How was everyone's April training? Post/Brag/Complain here!

I had a big bike volume (again) due to a Strava challenge

Swim and Run were fine and probably enough for the races I have planned next month: Sprint, Uphill Time Trial, Olympic and Oly Relay Swim.

That's gross, that kind of up and down weather would drive me insane!

April was great for me.  My run at lunch today brought me to 250 kms for the month - 20 more than I've ever done.  Bike and swim were really good too.

I'm going to do a 5k/20k/5k duathlon on Sunday.  That should be fun - in a painful sort of way.

This has been a really strange/awkward transitional month. It's like going through puberty again or something.

First taper madness, an "A" race, then post race blues complete with a week long cold and finally getting back into the balancing act of tri training.

And it's really weird, when you take taper and then race recovery into account, that I have done 0 significant running workouts all month.

Anyway, just trying to keep the emotional outbursts in check. Oh and also trying not to drown in the pool Smile

How is a marathon not a significant run workout??

ha, well, sure. But funny enough, I don't think JD considers long runs "quality" Smile

So y'all will probably kill me talking about weather etc....   This was what I did in my interval Sunday between the morning swim and the afternoon run.   Takes a lot of muscle work in the feet, ankles and calves, wonder if it had anything to what happened later with my arch.   Wouldn't think so but maybe.

Arch is getting a little better each day, just another bump on the road to IM.   Funny, I learned this last time and forgot.  Don't worry about whatever it is you think is the issue that will cause you problems at races, because whatever ultimately causes problems will usually come out of left field and be totally unexpected.   Moral of the story is don't worry about any of it

Can we just make it a rule that only one person (max) within SBR Utopia is allowed to be injured at a time?  I'll take this shift

Thanks Nicole, but I think you've done your time.....  Someone else can take the heat for a while, you need a break

Aweeeeesome. It's about SUP time here in Seattle. Definitely a great workout. I could see it possibly affecting your arch since you flex your feet a lot to stay planted on the board.

Tripped and fell during my run at lunch.  Scraped my hands a bit, and managed to hit my left side which is rather tender at this point.  Graceful I'm not!

Just did a 41 miler with a friend from work - and I didn't have to wear booties!  Bright sunshine, only a gentle breeze...  I'd forgotten that I REALLY LIKE riding my bike, cuz riding bikes is fun.

Especially when it's super nice out.

That is all.

Matt

ugh, I've done that.  Never fun.  Especially when you go out after they have sanded the roads and haven't cleaned it up yet
