And yes, there are people older than you.  Moses has you beat by a couple of days, right?

You better chill there missy, I am older than JC!  He's just too nice to name names.  Now excuse me while I browse the new AARP lingerie catalog.

Justin, sorry about having to cancel your anniversary but I'm glad the AC is working again.

Today's actually my parents 19 year anniversary (they've been together for 29 years).  Another fun Emma fact: I was the flower girl at my parents wedding, I almost knocked over a huge candle holder thing during the ceremony and mom had to stop the wedding to make sure I didn't knock anything over and I ended up walking around the church with my grandpa and trying to play chess with some random people we happened to find in the church.

Interesting fact about me....

I am a Parrothead to the nth degree

I have Roadtripped with my parents to see him in Portland Or. 1985-86? (parrot looks at 40 tour). The opening of Margaritaville Key West, Candlestick park and the Marina in San Diego. My wife and I had our first date roadtripping to The Gorge to see him in 97. I've seen him 3 times in Vegas. I could sing God's own drunk before  I could sing bear went over the mountain. I own shares in Margaritaville holdings (Canada). I own every studio album, book, soundtrack and (lots) of magazine articles by/about him. I have a salt shaker tattoo.

loeber - 2010-06-15 3:30 PM Betsy, I too know the feeling of having an outie,

Mine was an umbilical hernia from highland games, we called him Kuato (the parasitic twin) fromTotal Recall and would draw a face on him in the beer gardens. I could tuck him back inside and after a few drink I would "birth" him back out again on command. good times... Now I have an 8"x8" piece of stainless steel mesh and Kuato is no more, Just looks like a cesaerian scar a little too high. I miss the free rounds he got me...

Oh my God - that is awesome!!

Alright some random facts about me

- I am the only female in my umpiring chapter for baseball.  I love the game and it is a blast being on the field.  I call varsity level for high school and I was just asked to represent my District for the Regional Babe Ruth Tourn. coming up at the end of July.
- I can juggle
- I am a huge Pat Summitt fan...this is really the reason I am a Tenn. fan.  I have a Tenn. tattoo and if she was to move to another school....which I do not see happening....I would cover it and get that schools logo tattooed on me.

Nik & I have an opportunity to go to the College World Series...would ultimately be a "happy anniversary to us" trip...PLUS the Gators are in it and it's the last year at Rosenblatt. The only sticking point is paying the airfare which is a bit high right now. Everything else is paid for, though, thanks to some very generous friends.

So, mentor group, what say you?

this is a good site to check for last minute and cheap flights.

ugh, I just spent the last hour packing my bike.  I packed it into the cardboard box that they come to the store in.  I should have watched a video first.  I ended up having to take more of my tiny bike apart then I thought I would have to and I am pretty sure I did not put it in the box correctly but it's in there.  I think the things at biggest risk are the wheels and well, if they break they break.  Cause well, I am looking for an excuse for some race wheels.    I am full of grease (and that is after washing).  The oil for my chain that I got sucks but I have not been able to find my good oil after unpacking nor in the stores.  And um, my garage is not air conditioned and so now I am a sweeting mess.

I'm driving to all my future races.

I'm sure your bike will be fine, fingers are crossed.  I was actually considering flying with my bike to Clearwater but I can't imagine how upset I'd be if it showed up damaged or something. So instead Betsy & I are making the 15hr drive to FL

I swung by the tri-store yesterday to get some aerobar pads (I broke my metal ones) and I felt like it was my birthday or something because this just happened to arrive yesterday (remember I ordered in March I think)

Now just need to order wheel cover and my race bike setup is complete!  This also means Betsy gets to have my current powertap wheel w/cover for racing.  She's worried she's not fast enough for the cover, thoughts? Would you race with a wheel cover if it was available to you??

I so would.  The only reason I don't now is I can't justify the expense, but if they were available to me for free I'd be all over it.  Go for it Betsy.

Yeah, I would totally drive if it was within a day or not by myself.  In the long run you'll probably get there more relaxed as well.  I much prefer driving over flying regardless of equipement or not.

the last time you and i talked about this we were eating lunch at that greek joint.  now i'm starving.  thanks.

so, how fast does one have to be for a cover, betsy?  :-)   i think this is one of those things like when we wear a jammer or tri shorts for the first time.  you feel a little weird.  but after that you never think about it again.  there are gains to be made by all levels of riders with wheels of varying degrees of depth.  slap it on there and have at it!

Betsy has to rock the wheel cover... and if you were a 'good' hubby, she'd be rockin' a 404 for the front!  Just sayin'!  HA!   Betsy can definitely pull off the wheel cover... Nicole on the otherhand! *oh snap!*   That's right... I said it!  LMAO!   easy to pick on - I got your easy to pick on right here!!!  Tongue out
