I wasn't going to but the 404 comment deserved it Trin2bfast - 2010-06-16 9:38 AM I swim in a Zoot swim skin, and race a wheel cover... neither of which I truly do justice for (well, the swim skin at least) BUT Hey... I look faster! Betsy has to rock the wheel cover... and if you were a 'good' hubby, she'd be rockin' a 404 for the front! Just sayin'! HA! Betsy can definitely pull off the wheel cover... Nicole on the otherhand! *oh snap!* That's right... I said it! LMAO! easy to pick on - I got your easy to pick on right here!!! bzgl40 - 2010-06-16 9:32 AM evondo - 2010-06-16 6:37 AM I swung by the tri-store yesterday to get some aerobar pads (I broke my metal ones) and I felt like it was my birthday or something because this just happened to arrive yesterday (remember I ordered in March I think) Now just need to order wheel cover and my race bike setup is complete! This also means Betsy gets to have my current powertap wheel w/cover for racing. She's worried she's not fast enough for the cover, thoughts? Would you race with a wheel cover if it was available to you?? I so would. The only reason I don't now is I can't justify the expense, but if they were available to me for free I'd be all over it. Go for it Betsy. |

Expert 1323 Rowlett, TX | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! As far as the wheel cover. If its free and laying around USE it. Of course unless very windy conditions. That wind will take you and your 100lbs and you wont be in Kansas anymore. |

Trin2bfast - 2010-06-16 9:52 AM Nicole... that's very sweet of you... thank you! Nicole83 - 2010-06-16 9:41 AM Hi Kids- To start, Kim, I love your new pic. You look very fast. I have anxiety about bike shipping as well, and have actually used Tribiketransport for any long distance races that I've done (you know, in my previous life when I used to race). Eric and Justin you HAVE A NICE a.ss, I actually understand where Betsy is coming from. I'm super slow on the bike and feel weird having any spiffy extras when people with just your standard road bike go flying by me. That said, Betsy is way faster than I am, and I think that she will look superhot with a pretty wheel. Dan, I'm a huge JB fan as well. Key West is one of my favorite places on the planet. |

Extreme Veteran 521 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Wow...I just don't know how to follow a post like that, Nicole. So, the College World Series it is! Of course I knew the mentor group would all vote an astounding "yes"...so it just helps justify the decision. Looking forward to a few days of great baseball! Also, Houston-area folks...not sure if any of you have plans for July 10, but I'm calling out for help for my swim team. We're looking to win the last meet of the season and it will probably be a close one...which could also determine our fate in the season championship. So we are in need of bodies to swim in the adult ranks for us. All abilities are welcome (the longest individual race is 200 freestyle)...we just need points! To sweeten the pot a little bit, and to compensate you for your time (since we are a short ~90 minute drive from Houston), I just might consider having a few celebratory beverages and food available at my place afterwards. Mull it over...let me know if you are interested/available and we'll work out the details soon. |

Pro 4742 Sarasota FL | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! For your reading entertainment- my funny story from last night/this morning... I learned a valuable lesson this morning at 4 a.m. Evidently, there are many fail safe's in luxuary apartment living when it comes to fire protection. For example, all of the fire detectors are hard wired together so that if one goes off, all of the alarms in the building go off to notifiy other tennants of the fire. So if, at least's say 4 a.m. you have one of your fire detectors beeping to notify you of a low back up battery and rather than take the time to find the spare 9 volt and change it, you instead decide to just rip the device out of the ceiling, this will cause every fire alarm in the entire building to go off. And if, let's say, you don't realize that you're causing such a ruckus so you're still standing stark naked in your living room balancing on your tip toes on a chair trying to shove the device back into your vaulted ceiling when the fire department shows up and bangs down your door... it can prove to be quite embarassing. I was, however, amazed at the speed that I was able to construct a makeshift toga out of the blanket that we keep on the couch seconds before building maintenance let the brigade of fire fighters into our unit. Oh, and where was chris thru all of this you ask? In the bedroom with the door closed calling me an . Happy hump day. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! That doesn't sound like a fail safe to me. That sounds like a HUGE design flaw. That means a tiny stove fire or too much smoke from a burnt dinner would set everyone's alarm off? Um, no thanks. That's why the build those type of buildings with firewalls. |
