Had a great 5 mile run last night. Started off as a recovery/slow run but decided to throw in 5x1 strides. Felt good after those so kept up the pace. Ran splits of 8:47, 8:32, 7:51, 7:34, and 7:13.  Those last two are by far PR's mile times for me.  My comfort/cruise zone is 8:20 or so. I think by the last 1/4 mile the neighbors thought I was having a seizure running down the road.  Form was gone and I was just trying to survive. Every time I try and run fast it amazes me how -really- fast the pro's in tri and running are and how they can maintain the pace for so long.

I'll celebrate tonight with a few Corona's. Pretty bad that they've now been sitting in the kitchen pantry for almost 15 months! Tri-training has really cut down my beer drinking.
