Veteran 169 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Good to hear your bike is ok Kim...that is scaaary. I have a wrist roadID that I just leave on all the time- don't even notice it. I spoke to some EMTs about it before buying, and they said the wrist is the only definite place they would see it since they would be checking for a pulse- as long as your hand is still attached. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Probably a bad week to do full body weight lifting given that I haven't done that for a few weeks eh? Don't worry, not a serious question. It's weird not being out running. All kinds of time on my hands right now. Guess I will entertain myself by making Kelli's Blueberry Almond Bread. Although that does involve a trip to the grocery store because I forgot the almond part of the bread. So I guess that means Eggplant Parmesan for supper since I'll be at the store and can get me an eggplant. I use to hate eggplant. If's funny how tastes change. Or maybe it is more in how the food is prepared more then anything. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Glad to hear your bike is ok Kim! Thanks everyone for your input on the Road ID. I think I'm gonna go with the wrist strap since as someone I can't remember who now said they'll see it when checking for a pulse. Happy Father's Day to all the dads!! Veteran 223 back of the pack | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Happy Fathers Day Fellas!! We are Awesome. Race was done early and a lot of fun, Well run and I could not have asked for better weather or scenery. I will post some pictures with my R.R. Brunch was out of this world, my boys spent the ENTIRE time going back and forth between our table and the chocolate fountain (6' tall!!!) It was also the Banff Bike fest weekend so we caught the start of one of the races. Great weekend with the family. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Ugh, I just heard from someone who did an OWS today at the race site and the water was 54 degrees. That's darn chilly. Guess I better swim fast just to make sure I stay warm. Looking at the forecast it doesn't look like it will have much chance to warm up. |

Pro 4824 Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Hope the weather clears up and you get that game in Tif. Looking forward to seeing you guys Sunday. We had a little get together yesterday at our house. The best part about a party at your house is you don't have to worry about getting home and, well, I took full advantage. I am supposed to run 50 minutes today but I am not sure that is going to happen. Working on hydration right now. Maybe I can make it to the gym today and torture myself on the treadmill. How did our racers do this weekend??? |

Veteran 223 back of the pack | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! My "race" went really good all things considered, We drove out on Saturday afternoon and got to our hotel room. 7 of us split a suite so the kiddies could play together. This proved to be a mistake as they were still settling for bed at 1:00 in the morning. The location was perfect, the run was along a trail beside the town creek and back in along the golf course, snow capped mountains on all sides and clear blue skies. Highlight for me was the flashback to filling out my registration way back in March, Appaerntly I was a tiny, little bit tipsy when I filled out the "athlete profile questions". As we crossed the line the announcer was saying... here comes - - this is there --- triathalon lets give am a cheer... As I was pounding down the chute to the line, We go to hear this little treasure. "And here comes 280 pounds of sex appeal with 5 pounds of athletic ability, DAN LOEB crossing the line!!! Sorry ladies he's spoken for..." I'm AWESOME when I have a few... |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! That's priceless Dan. Ok, I have been struggling with what to do regarding nutrition on the bike and this morning as I was showering I think I finally made my decision. I already know I am using Heed as that is what is on the course and it is working for me. I'll have one bottle double strength for 200 cals and one regular for 100 cals. I'll have to swap out a bottle on the course but will probably end up with water. The plan is to finish the 200 first. Then, for solids, I have decided on cookies. I have proven many a time I can run on these cookies, and although high in fat they are actually somewhat healthy. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/peanut-butter-oatmeal-chocolate-62843.aspx Bring it on |

Master 1209 New York, NY | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! I don't use a fuel belt, and don't really have an interest. During most of my runs there are water fountains every couple miles, so I rely on that. Otherwise, I carry a water bottle. And I always carry a few dollars, so if need be I can pop into a store and get something. I have a wrist road ID. I always wear it on long rides, but should probably wear it more than I do. I think it's a great idea to have one. |
