Subject: RE: Savageman HIM : Official ThreadI agree with everyone, what a great event! Everybody that I encountered including the race staff, the volunteers, the police, the park staff, the local residents, the spectators and other athletes was friendly, helpful and incredibly supportive. First transition that I have ever been in that the other athletes were worried about others on the race as they were setting their stuff up. I heard more then once.."Do you have enough room?" What a beautiful and (needless to say) challenging course! I also want to say what a pleasure it was meeting Jef Mallet. What an awesome guy! I came there with three goals.... 1. To Have Fun 2. To get a Brick 3. To Finish I am happy to report that I accomplished all three!!! It was not the speediest of times.. in fact my slowest 1/2 Marathon ever, but that really wasnt one of my goals so no worries there. I ended up running with my buddy and training partner for the past year, so it was one of the most fun runs (although painful) that I have had! Thanks to everybody (including and especially my family) that made this such a great weekend!
