RR is up from Y Freedom.  This was a PR for me in the Sprint distance.  Also, I took 5:38 off my time from this race last year.  I am pretty pleased with my performance today.

I enjoyed seeing Keri, Ken, and Justin today.  Ken had an good race and killed it on the bike....good job!

There will be no race report from me until tue or wed Nicole. I just have my iPhone here. I'll just say now that I finished. It wasn't the race I wanted and I'm still working on coming to terms with my results.

A triathlete drowned in Philadelphia (where I previously lived), just a reminder to be safe and watch out for the people around you...

After ironman 70.3 texas it took me about 48-72 hours to post! Most likely they are all still driving/sleeping.

Thank you Nikki, Tif, Betsy and Ken for your race reports.

Kim, you are forgiven until you're home.

But JC, you're in a whole heap of trouble if you don't post that beast today.

And if I missed anyone, sorry, I suck.  I love reading race reports so let me know if you have one out there.

Very true.  And I actually have no room to talk bc I could very well be the slowest person in the group to post RR's.

Does anyone else here use RUNKEEPER app for Iphone to track workouts? I use it most times I am out, it maps on google, gives me spoken pace, elapsed time, speed and distance overtop of my Ipod music. but since updating to iOS4 it has me mapped all over the place, yesterdays bike ride had me riding across the middle of a 1/2 a mile reservoir twice and riding my bike at 3km/hour. I updated my software before I went for my ride and again after I got home and noticed how messed up it was. I love the App but this new glitch is frustrating.

Hey Justin - awesome praise from an old fast guy (in my AG).  We will see how much I suck at Bridgeland.  Unlike naturally gifted athletes, I actually have to train nearly every day between here and there to attempt to go fast.

GREAT 70.3!  Put up the race report so us rookies can figure out how to beat you experienced folks.

I look like I have energy to do two more.  I am just so so happy to be done.  This is me in the finishing.  As a side note, Skinny Cow Caramel Cone is pretty yummy.  Not an actual cone, but a new flavour of their ice cream.

Nice pic Kim!  Great seeing a smile across the finish line.  Of course you were happy to be done.  You had Skinny Cow Caramel Cone waiting for you.  Who wouldn't smile for that?

Hopefully there are some snaps coming of you on that awesome bike course.  If you're going to suffer, do it in beautiful surroundings.

Ok, race report done.  I only know my placing in regards to finishers, not overall, which is a little annoying but it is what it is and of course I'm just competing with me, myself, and I.

ou know, I really wish I had brought a camera out on the bike.  The views were awesome.  Lakes, mountains, rivers, some snow.  Can't beat it really.  Our bike course took us around Mt. Bachelour but then that gave us amazing views of the Sisters (there's 3 mountains in that pack) and a few other tall peaks.  The cool thing about the Cascade mountain range is that the mountains really stand out, unlike other mountain ranges where there are so many tall peaks that none really pop.

I do want to thank everyone for the encouragement and inspires.  I must say it is a little easier to go log your training when you got folks checking in on you and I thought about you all a bit during the course and the challenges you all have gone through and stuff and that helped.

KelliD - 2010-06-24 1:30 PM IMC is in August.  If I had more mountain goat in me I'd love to do Canada.

IF (big IF) next year is the year, most likely either IMWI or IMAZ.

I vote for IMAZ.  My plan is to be there.  Although I am rethinking that after this weekend.  I'll make my decision after the next HIM.

June's totals:
Bike: 11h 00m 37s - 190.25 Mi
Run: 10h 40m 35s - 75.14 Mi
Swim: 3h 47m 18s - 8250 Yd

May's totals:
Bike: 12h 57m 47s - 232.3 Mi
Run: 6h 59m 11s - 45.64 Mi
Swim: 6h 58m 27s - 15700 Yd

Happy hump day!  Heading back for Houston today!

Two race weekends hurt my bike totals a bit for June.  July is empty for races so the training volume should be plenty high.  Run volume is up significantly and back in the right direction.  I missed a few swims in June due to work.  Hopefully the swim volume comes up in July as well.

Mmm....I love Skinny Cows!!!  If I had someone waiting for me at the finish with Skinny Cows in hand, there's a good chance that would guarantee me a PR every time
