I finally found a ride so I'll be up around noon tomorrow as well. I'd be up for an early Friday swim. I am also solo for the Athlete's Dinner since my BF isn't getting to town until 8ish so I'd love to join others! I'm in a jet lagged stupor today but am still very excited, can't wait to get up there and see everyone!

Monty - 2010-07-21 9:38 AM Nice ride Bobby! I see 50 on the Keene decent.

Shoot, only 50?  I was hoping for 88 mph so I could activate my portable flux capacitor and time travel forward to the end of the second bike loop.

Hello all. Personal Best Multisport Systems and the Boston Triathlon Team will be there in full force racing and supporting athletes and friends. We'll have a tent setup on the run course near the Lake Placid Brewery, if you have family and friends, they can stop by and become part of the cheering crew. If you are racing, don't get freaked out when you have a bunch of strangers cheering for you.

I'll be there Fri to Monday, I hope to see you around and if you see a short, thin funny looking guy, with a funny accent and a PBM shirt on it, that will probably be me; so stop by and say hello!

Can people please continue repeating that this is the reward after all that hard work! It definitely helps me mentally!

Keep an eye on those tri bikes... us folks with the road bikes sporting clip on aerobars are uber jealous like whoa!

Just got into LP and my rental house and it's awesome.  Never mind the icy cold rain drops.  Time to unpack and go for a little run.

Hey guys and gals,

Is anyone driving up to the lake for the IMLP on THU the 22nd after 4pm and has one space in their car? I'm a normal girl, will only have one backpack and can pay you. Really want to make it up there to support my bf in the race but could not join him earlier because of work - he is already up there.

Please contact me if you think I can tag along.
Thank you!

Impressive thunderstorms rolling through LP right now, quick, but impressive.  Driving down mainstreet just gets your blood pumping....seeing all the people, bikes, runners, walkers, IM setup, sweeeet.

Just got back from afternoon swim, wore an Orca full and was warm at the end. I am going to try a sleeveless tomorrow and most likely wear that race day. Not sure the water temp. but everyone swimming around me was also warm in a full suit.

If you're still looking for a place to stay, I have a non-refundable reservation at the Whisper Pines Campground (Located at 4582 Cascade Rd Lake Placid, NY 12946) that I will not be using this weekend July 23-26. I'll be staying in the nearby hotel. If interested, you can take it for $100 for the entire stay.

Please e-mail me if you'd like to take this opportunity at [email protected]

Okay... sitting here at Art Devlin's.

Got checked in, unpacked the car, started to get the bike ready, then the heavens sprung a leak.  This is some serious rain action....

Go for a swim at 7 AM and see how you feel.  Remember, we are swimming early in the morning; not in the afternoon.
