jkholden - 2009-06-11 8:46 AM Due to my work schedule I will be arriving in the area this evening(thursday), staying at the Hampton in Seaford.

I will probably try to get into the water both Friday and Saturday.  I need all the open water time I can get.  The jelly fish report may have made my decision regarding full wetsuit or sleeveless.

I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet some of the other BTers.

What jellyfish report? Did I miss something?

Terenzo Bozzone said on is Twitter page that he got all stung up.  Yesterday it was the jellies killing him, then the day before it was the mosquitoes (mozzies).  Poor Terenzo

OK in all seriousness I may not race if a lot of Jellies. I am freaking allergic to them last year I got stung once and ended up messed up for a week. I will bring my Epi pen just in case but after racing Wisconsin and getting stung by a bee and using my Epi pen it is not pretty..

Jellies suck big time!!!

Just so y'all know, I'll be the guy wearing this at the swim start.

I figured it was less menacing looking than my first choice...

I HATE JELLYFISH!!

Who's staying in Easton? Looks like I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Sat night. (Thanks to my coach!)

I'm staying at the same hotel. Ford Taurus and Orbea Ora with a big black disc (you can see what my life priorities are)

I'm staying at the Days Inn in Easton, I'm solo for this race so if there's any kind of gathering Sat. night I'm definitely in.

I was swimming there last weekend and didn't see any jellies and it's rained plenty since then that I would be really surprised to see Jellyfish.  We don't even have the comb jellies in the Severn yet.

Check out this page: http://155.206.18.162/seanettles/ It looks like a 0-5% chance of getting stung.

bachorb - 2009-06-11 9:33 AM So who's having a super-productive day at work????!!!!!!

Working from home this morning then have to sit through a 3 hour seminar this afternoon.  So far I have finished the laundry, gotten out my clothes to pack (we are spending the week after the race at the beach), and cleaned the bathrooms.

So yes, I would have to say I am having a super productive day at work!

bachorb - 2009-06-11 10:46 AM Does anyone know if I will be able to buy some Perpetuem at the race expo? My supply ran out this week and my bike shop doesn't have any right now so I am freaking out about where to get some!

I have a brand new 4 pound tub, not even opened yet.  I'm staying in Easton too.  I pm'd you my cell phone the other day -- worst case I'll give you some

Certainly not me.  This is my last workday until next Wednesday.  (I took off Friday and Tuesday, and the office is closed on Monday for Flag Day.)

I am still undecided if I am going to start the race.  I think I am going to complete the swim and then stop.

With all this talk about traffic on a bridge, I'm glad that I booked my hotel room the same day as I registered for the race.  I'm at the Holiday Inn Express in Cambridge.

On-call, will be delivering at least 4 babies, possibly more. So yes, I guess productive.

Wow, that's cool.   I wish I could say something like that!  My biggest accomplishment of the day was finding the jellyfish-forecasting website to post on BT Smile  well that and figuring out that the "errors" being reported by the users of our system are not actually errors but the system behaving the way they instructed it to... delivering babies is way better (in theory at least )

It's been so impossible to focus all week with EM floating around in the brain!

Nice job on the delivering 4 babies, Only thing I can think of as being more rewarding would be making 4 8-)

Weather forecast update:

There're no significant changes to the official forecast numbers:

Temp at start 67
Temp at 2PM 79 (high for the day 80)
Dewpoint 62 pretty much throughout
winds NNE - NE 5-7 mph
20 % chance of rain throughout
Slight chance of thunderstorms after 8AM
Slight chance of rain throughout
Partly to mostly cloudy skies

Looks like water temp is still around 70. With the light winds forecast at present, waves are forecast to be 1ft or less.

That all being said, the weather forecast models look a bit wetter during race day as in a better than 20% chance, but still not a constant pouring rain. Just looks a bit more hit and miss showers than what the official forecast is calling for. Still doesn't look bad for the race or after race.

Will update tomorrow.

Days Inn in Cambridge and in the 7 AM 40-44 wave, so I will be getting passed by hundreds of people and passing very few. Be sure to wave when you blow by me....

Getting there Saturday afternoon and will be on jelly watch. That would suck! Any suggestions for food in Cambridge? I'm debating whether to just bring along some precooked pasta and nuke it for dinner.

As for work, I just got through the 30+ messages on this post, so yeah, pretty damn productive!

I just got this email from my tri club, for anyone willing to trade up for a closer hotel.  I modified the contact info a bit, so if you need more, PM me.  The email address for the POC is andy at beachtobayrec.com

--------------------------

Hello Fellow Triathletes,

Tri-Delaware originally blocked a number of rooms for the
Eagleman Triathlon this weekend with the Hyatt Regency.  Unbeknownst to
me, the cancellation policy is 72 hours before check-in (its always in the
details).

Unfortunately, we had a couple of members injured, back out,
etc, and I called today with no luck to cancel our spare rooms.

So fortunately for you, or someone you may know, I have 4
rooms available at the Hyatt Regency.  The cost of the room is $250/night
plus taxes (about $280) total with a minimum 2 nights.  Its an unfortunate
policy - and I will be stuck with the rooms and the fees if someone isn´t
interested in these rooms.

If you have any members of your club, or know of anyone
looking for a room, I would sure appreciate your assistance in forwarding on
this e-mail to them.  I can change the reservation into their name.

Thanks in advance,

Andy Staton
