mchally - 2010-05-22 4:39 PM been really depressed this week...only made it to a couple of hours of school (usually 25 hours a week).  Now I am (still) depressed and even further behind in school.  woo hoo.  Haven't gotten much in as far as workouts go.  Hopefully I will scrape up some motivation and get to the pool and a spin class or two.  It would be nice to get a bike operational again too.

Chin up, girly!!  {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I'll be getting a 10ish mile run done on this beautiful but chilly morning!  That will put me just a mile or so short of my goal a week before the challenge ends.  Yep, I'm going over on my goal.  I thought I was less motivated this month.  Apparently not when it comes to running.

deehtz - 2010-05-21 7:37 AM On a weird note...  My husband and I came home from work yesterday and entered the garage from the side door.  (We don't park in the garage).  Our lab stays in the garage when we are gone.  Yesterday, when we walked into our locked garage there was also a little stray dog in with our lab!

The only thing that we can figure out is that it came under the gate into the backyard and then into the garage.  This could have happened while the side door was open while our lab was outside before I went to work.  I can't remember if I left the door open or closed.  But I left for work at 8:30 and everything was shut and locked at that time.  I am guessing that it was just hiding in a corner.  I didn't notice our dog reacting but I was zooming thru to go to work.

We checked with some of the neighbors, but no one recognizes it.  It is so timid and small, I don't see how it could have gone very far!  Strange.

Very odd!  So, did you adopt the little pooch?

Of all things, I'm behind on my biking, but I'm taking some days off from work this week and will be all caught up by the end of next weekend.

Got out for an almost 27 mile bike ride today.  Had my husband pick me up and we all went out for lunch!  Then walked that off with a mile or so walk through a nature conservancy...  My poor girls are wiped out!  Me too...  Wink  But still a nice day all around!  And I still have a "pool show" to look forward to.  My kids have been planning some way to show off in the kiddie pool.  Should be interesting!

Well, yeah....  we got attached to the little thing really fast.  It is only about 2-3 months old.  We put up a sign and filed a "found dog" report.  But no one has seemed to be looking for her.  My husband (who never wanted a small dog) loves to hold her while we are watching TV.  Smile

Our big dog (lab mix) is a little jealous but doing well.  She is getting to come in the house more in the evening since the puppy comes in, so she is benefiting also!

Had my HIM bike ride yesterday it the hothothot sun! Not that I'm complaining about the weather..love this! But didn't have enough fluid on the bike and ended up with a bad headache. was toast after also....not sure how the legs are supposed to carry me for a 1/2 mary after the bike! Just shows I need a lot more training on my bike....actual rides not the trainer or the spin bike! Although it was my longest ride ever and today I am feeling good! Think the main thing is the nutrition/fluid that I really need to work on. Went for a nice 40 min walk today....wish it were a run but the hip was pulling so I kept it safe and stayed walking. I have a swim, vive and 3 water classes yet today. Have a great one girls! Oh and I'll find out how Bill wants me to handle my run goal.

hey there gals (and lurking fellows too)

I am feeling better...hormones are back to normal so my more or less monthly plunge into 'The Depths of Despair' has passed. Thank goodness.

I've made it to school on time today (although they are running late in the segment that I've already taken so I get time to hang out here).  I had to skip my morning shower (I didn't really need one) and my almost daily pancake routine (I took the time to make eggs though) in order to get here, but I made it.

Wow...I am using lots of parentheses today-good luck being able to follow my thoughts with just one reading.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better!!

I'm going to pick up where you left off... this is my week for the plunge.  Wink  And I hate my job (this week more so than usual).  Fortunately, I'm actually looking forward to riding tonight to pull me out of this pit!  What I think I really need is a new career but have no idea what I want to do.  And with my mood, this is probably not the best week to have an early mini mid life crisis.  I just need to refrain from telling my boss where I think he should go until my mood improves.

Sounds cute!  I'm glad my daughter is not reading this with me though... she and her little sister joined together this weekend to beg for either a puppy, a kitten or a baby brother.  I told them I might consider a fish.

Ha ha, sounds like a good compromise cause that whole baby brother thing would get old fast (they just think it would be cute to have a baby brother right now)  and I fell for the "we'll help take care of" stuff once.  They do not help take care of the cats.....esecially now that they are cats instead of cute kittens.  Even the fish could be pushing it vor them helping care for it!

OMG, my son is BEGGING for a baby brother or sister...he's already got names picked out.  My husband and I are fine with having one kiddo, but said kiddo really wants a sibling.  I don't think a day goes by that he doesn't mention it.  His 6th birthday is today, and he asked first think this morning if he could have one.  Sheesh!

That's too funny!!! Both girls (3 1/2 and 5 1/2) have recently been asking for the baby brother as their birthday present. Their birthday isn't until November! Not really sure where the big push for the baby brother is coming from... both my husband and I are busy enough with 2 girls and have no plans for any more! The woman next door brought home a kitten over the weekend so I can see where that's coming from. But a puppy? My little one is terrified of ALL dogs!

I'm off from work this week so I did a nice long 48 mile ride today. The wind was much calmer than what I've been riding in lately, so I didn't feel quite as beaten up at the end like I have lately.

Thanks - I think I was just worn out from a crap-tastic work week last week and the germies got me. Hopefully you are back to normal soon. I haven't had to deal with asthma but you make me feel lucky not to.
