Hi Kids,

JWKMH asked me to fix the TV/stereo so the DVD sound came through the stereo speakers.  I clicked a few buttons and it was so.  She asked, "What did you do?"  I responded, "Womenfolk should stand back in awe as men do manly work."  Her response was predictable.

Did she smack you?  That's what I predict.

No.  She informed me of my many manly shortcomings.  It was like a Gatlin gun against a peashooter.

Hey kids,

Sun is shining.  Air is getting warmer.  Supposed to get up into the mid-50's.  I think that means you will have to entertain yourselves this afternoon.  I am going for a bike ride.

Last Georgia Tech home game will be Saturday.  I will be riding in Atlanta this weekend.  I don't think any of the Hotlantans check into this little outpost of inanity and insanity.  If you do and then happen to see a dude with white hair riding a bike slowly in Midtown smiling broadly, be sure to wave.  It could be me.

Now I am blushing. *Note to self read what you type before you hit submit in TAN

I won't tell you the comment she made after I ate the glazed donut while she was out at an art class last night. I bbm'd her and she had some funny responses.

I think people like to conspire against me, and all pizz me off simultaneously for maximum effect.

I suppose this could be better than a continuous stream of BS though?

The ex that owes me money didn't pay this month.

The ex that just broke up with me is dumping a lot of emotional baggage on me at the moment. And is mad that I'm not mad the he has a date on Friday.

Sounds like My ex.

She did a ton of stuff when we broke up and expected me to get mad and upset all the time. I was done by the time I told her to move out. I think when I found the hidden credit card bill for $22,000 I wasted enough energy being mad over that.

I burned for all of that when she moved out. She was supposed to pay me back part of it and buy the Jeep off me. I ended up burning for both. But I did so by making her sign divorce papers and not be able to come after me for anything including my pension and my RRSPs.

Now I found out she just declared bankruptcy after 2 years of us separating leaving me with a huge debt she got credit cards. Went to vegas, mexico, cuba, florida etc...

Called me crying that today is her birthday and she just declared bankruptcy. I could only respond with "that sucks that you still have not learned how to manage your money." She hung up on me then emailed me that I have no compassion and I am a jerk.

Upside I am more happy now then I have ever been.

I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. A girl friend that appreciates me and runs with me and is active and puts down her phone and facebook and engages me.

We like similar things. We go out for dinners and dates and don't spend time on our phones. We spend time re-connecting etc etc.

ahhhh its love.

We also have had a lot of very hard conversations and can talk to each other about anything. Crappy people make us appreciate the good people.

I have crappy contractors in working on equipment right now. I didn't pick them. But I am sure the two millwrights partake in some form of recreational medicine. And they have no clue what they are doing. Now this makes me want to punch people again.

Speaking of 5 pounds...
My birthday was last week and ALLLL week I let myself eat whatever I wanted. This included lasagna (3x), cupcakes (6), cake, pizza, nachos (FREEBIRDS!), cookies from co-worker (seriously like... 20) and an entire box/pouch of the new Girl Scout gluten free cookies in one sitting. I was up 6 pounds Monday morning - surprise surprise.

But just 48 hours later 5 of those pounds are gone with low carb eating. Fascinating to me!

I have been working on my math problem non-stop for about 6 months and really not getting out much to run or ride.  Zero training for maybe the last month.  I think my 12 pound weight gain will be harder to get rid of than Lisa's.

Today is the day to restart.  I shall eat some lunch, put on moderately warm bike gear, pump up the tires, and head out the door.  I am sure you will all be waiting anxiously here for me to report back.

I meant to pick up donuts of the way to work, but I forgot. Now I'm hungry for pancakes!

i'm doing a whole 30, so no donuts or pancakes for me.  Luckily my coworkers all forgot too, NOBODY brought in donuts.  This is a place that has a reason to bring in donuts almost every day, it seems!

One of our middle managers used to bring in donuts once a week and I learned the hard way that having one before a long run during my lunch break was not so good of an idea. Sugar crash while running up a hill is never fun! Fortunately (for my waistline) that middle manager is gone and with him the weekly donuts.
