Courtney if I had a teacher like you in the 9th grade then I would have probably been the best student in class (or faked being the worst so I could stay after school for extra help).

A boring professor at UNC by day--teaching research methods, statistics, electronic government, and policy analysis....and an *exciting* (mostly because I am spastic and fall often) fitness enthusiast by early morning or night!

Biotech deskjob. Sort of a process improvement engineer (but I'm not an enigineer! ha!). I have biology and chemistry degrees, which, IMO is much geekier than engineering. I could be wrong though. You should see some of the real engineers here. Scary. Spend much too much time on BT, and way to much time answering runnergirl28's tri questions (she works with me).

I'm a graduate student. Currently, I'm getting a master's degree in bioinformatics (which is genetics/statistics/computer science all together) and then I'm going to get a PhD in the same field. One day, I'll make money...I swear.

I have a desk job. I do operations for a global sales team. It's okay but the coporate world is just not my thing. I'm hoping to go back to school and get a degree in nursing as soon as I can. I spend most of my day reading BT and watching otters and pandas via live web streams from a couple of zoos in California. (PM me for links!)

Desk job as a public health researcher at a School of Public Health. I manage a research grant that evalutes programs to increase physical activity in rural missouri communities.  I work with great people in these communities and great people at the University.  University jobs are the best. I like my job, even tho currently stressful as we work on the next grant.

As a law student, I get to ask the government and my bank for money and hey, they just give it to me!! Of course, being $180,000 in debt when I graduate is not so much fun, but i try not to think about that too much.

Civil Enginner, and right now doing my dream job, designing bike paths.  Mostly rail to trail conversions.  So not only do I get to design the paths, then I'm lucky enough to go test them out when they are done with construction.

I need a job.

Currently, I am a stay at home dad with my two little girls. Suprisingly, this does NOT allow for more training time. Computer time is a different issue altogether.

jryals - 2005-07-14 5:44 PM Who would have thought, go to school get a degree, work your butt off for three years, and now I spend all my time here?

And I managed to get here with only a high school diploma!  Now don't you feel silly!

I used to be a computer trainer for Fortune 500 Law Firms but that required more travel then I was willing to do (almost 100%). I became a certified personal trainer but got preggers twice in two years. Since I am infertile this was a huge surprise and shock! Two babies later I sit at home. I do some writing but not making steady money at it yet.

I'm in the Army. I'm an infantryman who has homesteaded in reconnaissance platoons. Now I "train" units to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan. Anyone want to trade careers?
