Bluejack - 2006-06-15 7:41 AM I still await smack worthy of my previous smack. So far runnergirl and kim are the only worthy GOG smack talkers. Once it degenerates into male stereotypes jokes of small wee wees and being obsessed with sex, it aint smack any more .....IT's TIRED. Been there...done that..... we've all been in second grade (I think). If you're gonna bring it ladies... then bring it!

Smack talk is just a crutch to bolster a sagging ego and used as self reinforcement to validate one's own importance, hence the weaker men's teams prolific use of it.  The stronger girls team doesn't need to stoop to such tactics.  Oh we let Janelle and Kim go in with small arms fire once in a while, just to let you know we're still in the game.  Sacrificing a couple of perimeter pot shots seems to be enough to stir up the enemy camp and turn them into a barnyard full of headless chickens, running around with no direction.

Our plan is working girls!

Hey, at least it's only my ego sagging. Heh. Return of service. Concise and stinging. Point TBI.

Hmmm ... and when do you girls plan on riding your bikes?  I noticed that Renee and Kim seem to have logged next to nothing - except posts in CoJ.

(and don't bring up LazyJim Run4yrlif, he plans on breaking a sweat any day now ...

You mean the liger???

Hey, at least it's only my ego sagging. Heh.

Whoa!  At least I've been working on my jiggly bits and tightened up all the appropriate areas, thank you very much.  It's not easy looking good on the bike when men everywhere are ogling you from behind.  Fortunately it's something we do very well.

And it's not a problem with Renee, et al....simply offset by Mr. Gullah who is on the IRL.  How wussy is that...letting a little face plant get in the way of his weekly mileage.  It would NEVER happen on this team!

Some of us are too busy riding our fanny off to talk smack ...

So, did we decide on the appropriate punishment for the men's losing team?

As per Kim, the triathlete formerly known as Goddess Hottie, the Goddesses (and Max) losing team provides worshipping inspires to the winning team a minimum of 5 of 7 days per week and a month of signature lines, beginning after the tabulation on July 1 and ending August 1.

The pairing of athletes will be done by team captains.

Yeah, averaging 1/2 hour per day on the bike doesn't leave much room for anything else. Cool

Girls ride better than guys, and twice on Sundays. Neener, neener.

That's 40 minutes, thank you very much!  Clearly 2/3 hour!

And I'll stack my crazy schedule against anyone here and see how it adds up.

Yahyahyah blahblahblah. We all think we have the craziest schedule, but that just ain't possible now is it. Only one person in the world has the busiest schedule. It prolly ain't you OR me. It prolly aint the bear either. Let's just leave it at we are all busy. The busy card has now been banned from all smack talking.

Can't we just return to nice creative smack. "Let's not quibble over who killed whom...."

Well, I can say for certain that I did not kill anyone.  At least not yet, but the day is early and these sales reps are starting to bug me already...

But, we still haven't come up with an appropriate punishment for the men's losing team.

I'm always amazed how easily these lower intelligence life-forms take the bait, fall into the trap.

As you yourself have indicated in the past, this IS a triathlete website. It's easy to pile on the bike mileage if you neglect the other disciplines. Since we're talking about use of time, lets look at TOTAL time spent training. This is what I have done to for you lately:

2006 totals The bear

Bike: 74h 13m 23s - 1322.44 Mi
Run: 85h 28m 44s - 539.64 Mi
Swim: 7h 33m 40s - 14950 Yd
Strength - 40h 50m
Elliptical Training 47h 40m

Total time: 255h 45m 47s

maxipad

Bike: 108h 49m 08s - 1900.39 Mi
Run: 69h 21m 16s - 403.9 Mi
Swim: 1h 8m 35s - 3332 Yd

Total time: 179h 18m 59s

By my count that's over 42% more training than your pitiful effort. Seems like you're a one-dimensional athlete. That swim time is just sickly.

300-400 miles of that cycling differential YTD is from the time missed during my taper/recovery from the marathon. Of course, you would actually have to RUN one to see what I'm talking about, and why that is necessary.

If there wasn't this little requirement called "Sleep" and "Paying the Bills" I could crank out all of the entire miles of our team without cracking a sweat this month.

Yeah, well, says you. So there.

Easy to say that as well, cause this is a TEAM effort, which means that your TEAM will win or lose despite what you personally can do. Anyway, if you can crank that kind of mileage out, why isn't your goal higher? Sounds like you're sandbagging to me!

Bear, Bear, Bear- you are so not one to be throwing stones about balance.

Bike: 101h 54m 39s - 1666.81 Mi
Run: 69h 21m 36s - 408.7 Mi
Swim: 43h 42m 38s - 123266 Yd

This is YTD from Jan 28th when I joined BT. Admittedly, I mostly swam and biked in January w/ just a touch of running post 26.2 mile jaunt but didn't really do too much of any of them.

It's all about not flaming out during a long season- you guys should pay attention to that concept, it's something we Goddesses appreciate
