Well ok then give your kitties some love but give your dog more, LOL.
Also the cat does not jump me at 5am and want to go for a run.
Sorry Nancy - I have to call you out here.
All the cats I have lived with
(2, and that's 2 too many - I HATE cats
) have attacked me while I've slept
(try scratching your groin KEEP IT CLEAN FOLKS!! at 3am and having a set of claws attack the moving object under the sheets
), yowled at 2am to be let outside, pissed on the carpet because you took too long to get home
(not because they couldn't control it, but because they're mad at you
), brought dead animals to your doorstep, and yowled at 4am to be let back in.
So what is so good about cats?
The expressions...
"There's more than one way to skin a cat."
Heh-heh.
LOL! Things to hate about cats:
Hairballs
In-out-in-out-in-out - and dirty looks if you don't cater to their entering and exiting whims
Waking up with the cat staring at me and scratching my nose
Suddenly deciding they won't eat the expensive cat food that was fine the day before - cat ignores it and yells, the dog ends up eating it
Fur flying vet trips
How you are expected to be at their disposal at all times, and this is not reciprocated
Chasing moths around and knocking over lamps, plants and stuff
Midnight cat squabbles that wake up the whole neighborhood
Marking in the house
As for hunting, well, one of my cats is a good gopher hunter so I don't mind that so much. She doesn't know how to kill them, so I can usually scoop them up and take them to a nearby field.
It's a bummer when she gets a bird though.
