OK here's a question.... is it better to have a higher number or a lower number???? Our Team Hoss average is 1.9.... what does that MEAN?

No lengthy explanation needed... I'm just wondering....

Thanks, Whizzzzzzzzzzzz

That is the average # of people on your team who are at or above goal. Higher is better.

Team Couer de Leon is the only non-reporting team (that's why their font is red).

Renee, I noticed something funny in the Five Alive team's counts. cbass shows 50% or better in two columns but her count is only 1.

Both values are correct but if you wanted to be nitpicky about the mismatched display... Her biking is actually 49.5370% and the display averages it up to 50. However, the counting function only counts columns where the actual value is >49.9%. You could change the count test to >49.4, but another solution might be to trunc() the result of the division that is displayed as a percentage. Or maybe there's a better way; I'm no excel expert.

Edit: wait a minute... just use round() on the division so the actual value is rounded and not just the displayed percentage.

Subject: WEEK 2 UPDATE

I gathered Team Coeur de Leon's numbers myself. Here is the final, updated WEEK 2 tally.

Kittens of Couer de Leon, you need to get yourselves in gear and give Courtney your tallies on Mondays so that she can give them to me in a timely manner. Courtney, if you are still missing the updates from your teammates by end of day Monday, then you need to go check their logs and gather the numbers yourself.

Hi Renee,

My (Mekarual) goal run distance is actually 40 miles, not 10. Thanks!

... is not done because we have 3 non-reporting teams - Team Coeur de Leon, Team Five Alive and Team Guinness.

Lane, as former captain of Team Guinness maybe you could get off your ass help out and pick-up the ball for Brett. He's usually very punctual, so I assume he's simply very busy with real-life matters.

Team Yuengling is leaving the competition way behind. 85% average goal attainment, 7 out of 10 team members are at or above their goals in all 3 sports. Impressive.

If your numbers are in red font, it's to draw your attention to it because what was reported was either a) less than what was reported last week (you went backwards?) or b) I didn't understand your numbers.

Team Yuengling with a very impressive showing: 100% aggregrate goal attainment; all 10 members reached their goals in A3S. Congratulations!

Here's how each team ranked:

  1. Team Yuengling: 100% with 10 members at 100% for A3S
  2. Team Good In-10-tions: 96% with 8 at 100%
  3. Team Thunderbird: 95% with 4 at 100%
  4. Team Crazy Eight: 93% with 5 at 100%
  5. Team Hoss: 91% with 5 at 100%
  6. Team Guinness: 91% with 4 at 100%
  7. Team Lucky Lancers: 91% with 2 at 100%
  8. Team Endless Summer: 87% with 5 at 100%
  9. Team Five Alive: 80% with 1 at 100%
  10. Team Coeur de Leone: 60% with 1 at 100%

Some other interesting and impressive stats:

  • Average goal attainment of all participants = 90%
  • Number of participants who achieved 100% = 52%
  • Number of participants who achieved 90% or > = 67%

If you scroll down the spreadsheet, you will see all participants listed in order of % of goal attainment.

Congratulations to all!

For some reason, my numbers were in distances when my goals were in time:

I was 100% on all my goals:

Bike
Goal: 350 mins
Act: 357.75

Run:
Goal: 200 mins
Act: 205.3

Swim:
Goal: 170 mins
Act: 172.66

This would give us 6 at 100% and an overall % of 93%.

Sorry for the confusion.
