Sensei ![]() | ![]() I forgot my goggles a couple times and swam without them. But that hurts, so I learned to pack an extra pair. I too have forgot a clean pair of undies - commando. I have forgotten a towel once or twice and needed to use a t-shirt or be 'one of those guys' and dry off naked under the air dryer. I forgot my shoes once, so wore my bowling shoes at the gym! Then of course I have probably bought 2-3 pair of shorts or shirts I didn't need to at the gym because I forgot mine (over the years) Edited by Aikidoman 2009-08-17 4:14 PM |

New user![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Gotta love the pool! I just returned home in only my tshirt and underwear! Ok, ok... so I did wrap my towel around my waist, and I have a million race tshirts that are a very large and long. Plus it seems like everyone in the state in on vacation so there was practicallly no one at the Y. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() BEST YET!!!! I used to take the front wheel off my bike so I could transport it to my MTN bike trails. Once, I drove the 40 minutes to the trail head, to realize that the bike was in the truck, but not my front wheel - left it in the garage. Drove all the way back to get it, then all the way back to the trail... 2 hours of driving before I even started my hour ride. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I have forgotten underwear for after a swim and worn my suit to the pool - fortunately going straight home - forgotten my swipe card to get into the gym, twice - and have been warned that I'll get charged a fee next time they have to look up my name..lol, and probably most problematic, I have forgotten my lock combination after I locked everything in there...I had a new lock and must have tried every 3-number combination possible before finding the right one. |

Member![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Last week I forgot my goggles... The gym had a lost and found box, and I borrowed the only goggles that had both lenses. I was the only guy in the pool wearing HOT PINK goggles. |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I have forgot the sports bra, shoes or flip flops for after the swim, swimsuit. The worst, because I wear the same kind of running shoes, and i keep the old ones for yard work, I had 2 left shoes. About a week later I had 2 right shoes in the gym bag. After that, I went and bought a new pair of running shoes that were different than my previous ones. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I've forggotten a towel a couple times because my old gym had towel service. Not so bad when it's warm out and you can go out pretty wet - but I'm hoping I'm a little more on the ball when it starts to get cold! I hate forgetting my bra when I bike to work - nothing worse than spending the day in a wet sports bra. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I've forgotten to bring a sports bra and wore my regular one for my lunchtime spin class...had to go back to work with a sweaty bra. I've gone to the natatorium for a pre-work swim and forgotten underwear (I've also done this and forgot a bra)...I had to detour back to the house, which was sort of on the way to work. Ive gone to the track for a pre-work run and forgotten work shoes...had to wear my dirty running shoes with my pants suit all day. (Thank God I didn't have any meetings!) I've forgotten my socks and then got blisters from running sans socks. I always check and double check my bag now, but every now and then I still manage to forget something. Fortunately, it's usually something I can live without - like my hairspray. |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() The swim is normally the training I forget something (goggles, suit), but once I went from work to the gym and forgot my gym shoes, sucked it up and worked out with black business shoes, still today I remember the looks I got. |

I have not worn underwear for over 17 years. I find it a totally useless peice of clothing. I am sure all of you wanted to know that too. ![]() |

After reading this thread yesterday I was thinking how lucky I've been not forgetting anything. Got to the gym realized i had no sneakers I forgot them in the house after my last PT session. No big deal I thought I'll just swim, looked in my bag found the goggles, towel and zip lock bag I keep my suit in after I swim, crap no suit. I did have my shorts and shirt so the workout was in steel toe work boots t-shirt and shorts. You think you get looks from dress shoes, try work boots. Even the staff was staring and pointing. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yesterday I forgot my shorts for a OWS. I had to walk across the parking lot and down the boat ramp in my boxers. My training partner was howling the whole time, giddy basterd. When in the water, boxers are the same as swim trunks. When walking back to the car among boaters and jet-skiers boxers are much less fun. It's Arizona, so I don't need a towel. ...usually. |

At least I know I am not the only one that has done this. I have used an extra shirt to dry off out of my bag before. |

I never wear "draws" after a morning swim twice a week either. After the swim, I just throw on some gym shorts in the locker room and a race t-shirt. I live only 5 miles from the indoor pool and am not usually at the office until 8:30 or 9:00, so I have plenty of time to go home shower, breakfast, etc from a 6AM swim. If I happen to forget gym shorts, I just wear my jammers out and sit on my towel in the car. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Thought I had towel, socks, and underwear at work. Biked in to realize I didn't. Towelled off with t-shirt. Went commando. Tried as much as I could to stay seated at my desk the whole day so people couldn't see my bare feet inside black dress shoes. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So apparently everyone has forgotten everything at one time or another, so...I'm not alone dear. My least favorite is forgetting my contacts since I normally use glasses, and I can't stand working out with them. PS (off topic and off message board) my winter sport is hockey and due to this phenomenon I am now the proud owner of three cups, because you can usually make due or borrow everything else, but no one lends/borrows a cup. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I've forgotten my front wheel a couple times when driving to a ride location. I've forgotten my bike gloves and socks on numerous occasions which isn't a big deal on the road, but really sucks when mountain biking. I've forgotten shoes a couple times. Once I tried to ride in Birkenstock Clogs, but that didn't last long. The other memorable time I did half of our all day epic mountain bike ride in skate shoes on top of clipless pedals until we got to the car at the halfway point where I left my riding shoes. I've forgotten cycling shorts. That is no fun. |

Regular![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Rogillio - 2009-08-17 8:22 AM It got out of the pool, into the shower, out of the shower and realized I had no underwear, no tee-shirt and no socks! Yikes! I usually pack two gym bags - one for the morning for my swim and one for lunch for my run. Yesterday I put my running stuff in my swim bag and vice versa. So I went commando...till I could get to my truck. No matter how long I've been doing the same thing, I still manage to screw things up occasionally. So what's your "oop, forgot my ____" story? ~Mike A few weeks ago, I rode my bike to work, went to take a shower (we have a nice locker room) and realized I had forgotten my pants. Since nobody I work with needs to see me in spandex, I just got back on the bike, rode home, took a shower, and then came in an hour and a half late. Bob |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Fielding - 2009-08-17 4:39 PM I did that once after a long hike -- finished and was dying to take my boots off and put on some flip flops, realized I'd forgotten them. I couldn't bear putting the boots back on so I wore a pair of heels I found in the trunk of my car. Went to lunch wearing hiking shorts, tech T, and high heels (which looked especially great with the sock line from all the dirt on the trail). My friends still give me $hit for that one. I've forgotten underwear many, many times at the gym. I'm actually very comfortable going commando now, except on days when I'm wearing a skirt. Hee hee - been there, done that! I'm on a search and rescue team, which means I can get called out to hike any time day or night, from anywhere. I usually have a full set of clothes and gear in my car. The very first day I commuted to work by bike, we got called out. Still, I went through the mental list of what I had in the car to figure out if I could respond. Oh man, no pants! All I had was jeans, and cotton is an absolute no-no. Grrr....but wait, I had my bike shorts and a pair of running shorts - not great, but good enough. Figuring I was all set, I headed out of work early, got back to my car, was pulling out my SAR clothes...and realized I had taken my boots out of the car to clean and waterproof them. Really, you can fake a lot of things, but bushwhacking (hiking off-trail) without boots is NOT one of them! (fortunately, we got called off by the time I drove 35 minutes out of my way to get home and before setting off for the two-hour-plus ride to the search) |
