Evidently the predecessor defenders didn't have the same degree of vociferous va-jay-jay valuation and visibility issues.

My sister runs in mesh/synthetic thongs and swears by it. (And she's a pretty serious runner) |

Though in all seriousness, I do keep trying to convince her to do a triathlon. She was a competitive swimmer for years and is a good runner, so she'd just have to get a bike - I have a hybrid she could train on and she definitely makes enough to score a low-end road bike without breaking the bank. However, she is an accountant and works insane hours and doesn't quite have the discipline to get up on weekend mornings (and not drink like a fish the night before -she's only 24 and still hasn't outgrown all that). Okay, un-hijacking now... |

The dryer is actually good for them (you can even read that for yourself on the Pearl Izumi web site). My cycling shorts get washed and dried, on average, 50 times a year, and all but one pair of my cycling shorts in use right now are at least two, if not three years old. I only own four pairs of cycling shorts; the fourth pair was purchased this summer. I will wear racing tri shorts every once in a while, hence the reason they don't all get washed once a week. I never wear undies and I use body glide on occasion. I also pee in them on occasion. |

But, it's much more comfortable and much less chafing without them. Some of my running shorts don't have undies built in, so I wear underwear under those or my tights. Never thought about not wearing undies under my running shorts, I have no inner layer within the shorts so my lady parts would definitely be viewable! |
