I am watching it too!! The air quality is not too bad, is it? Really, nobody is puking blood yet. The street scene is always fascinating and the pre-athlete-arrival show at the bird's nest cracks me up, so corny!

My audio sounds funny here in Atlanta.  Does yours sound like fuzzy static?

trixie - 2008-08-16 8:42 PM Is it just me or is number 2372 in some kick a$$ shape? Usually the mary chicks are all scrawny, she's got a bit of buff to her, looks more like a triathlete, no?

Go Paula!

Looks like she's got it...she'd have to really slow to be caught....looks like the race is for 2nd/3rd.

I am watching the marathon and I have seen them get bottles of water, but then they are also getting handed what looks like two bottles taped together.  It looks like the first bottle is water, but does anyone know what the other bottle is.

I can barely walk when I finish a marathon. I can't fathom running a victory lap.

Well, I guess we still have the memory of Deena running the race of her life 4 years ago

No update on Deena. NBC has promptly switched over the swimming events. Heartbreak.

"I felt a pop in my foot. I couldn't stand on it," Kastor said. "I didn't expect to be finishing the marathon on a bus."

That looked like a beautiful course to run.  So sad that Kastor pulled up lame, and to see Radcliffe struggling as well.  It was pretty inspiring to see her gut out a finish though.

Always amazing to see the Eastern Europeans come out of nowhere to win a major event like the Olympics.....

I caught the finish and said "who is she"?
