Subject: RE: ows practice locationsJedd325 - 2009-06-29 5:15 PM Hey guys, I was hoping to head down to Lake Nokomis sometime this week to get a swim in as I have never swam there before and am doing the lifetime tri. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how it is, any rules on where and when to swim, and conditions or now that I am rambling on please just tell me anything and anything that you might know about Nokomis that I might find useful. Thanks, I would be able to get down there towards the end of the week and the mornings are ideal, if that makes any difference. Right around this time of the year, you'll have a LOT of triathletes swimming early in the morning. Most swim just outside the buoys. No lifeguards present in the morning. After work is crowded. Lifeguards are present and they call you in out of the water during lifeguard breaks which is a pain trying to time your swim workout. If you mention to them you'll be swimming laps just outside the buoys they don't seem to have a problem with it. I'll be doing Lifetime again this year. I'll let you know when I can get some OWSs in. Usually in the morning 5:30 to 6:30. |
