"Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight
Gotta kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight..."
--Barenaked Ladies
But do you know where the kick at the darkness originally comes from?
Originally (according to the internet, anyway ), Bruce Cockburn's “Lovers in a Dangerous Time”.
I knew it from U2's God Pt II -
“Heard a singer on the radio, late last night
Said he's gonna kick the darkness 'till it bleeds daylight
I, I believe in love”
So anyway, I wanted to add more Tull:
"Oh people - what have you done -
locked Him in His golden cage.
Made Him bend to your religion -
Him resurrected from the grave.
He is the god of nothing -
if that's all that you can see." Edited by madeye 2005-08-11 1:57 PM
