jeng - 2006-03-30 5:09 PM I'm proposing 700 in addition to whatever I do inside on the trainer/rollers.

Yeah but that's because you only bike!

(I don't see any running on your logs for a while... that is of course if you are not injured or something, which in the case you are, here is where I shut my big mouth...)

Hey I swim too.

This sounds too fun, but I can't make 700 this month. 2 races and possbile surgery are my attempts at a lame excuse and I know if I say I will do it, I will suddenly stop swimming and running.

Had all intents of starting to rack up the miles this weekend, but baby Aiden decided to show up yesterday. Not going to be riding until at least Wednesday.

Looks like we'll be home on Wednesday. Father-in-law will be in town, so might be able to sneak out for a few hours. Will at least get on the trainer.

I already figured with the 4 "days off" from the baby that I'll need to average 27 miles/day for the rest of the month. So a lot of work cut out for me with the rest of life.

I plan on giving it the old college try (on top of another 90 mile run month and about 12,000 yards in the pool).

Hey Bear,

I'm wondering, what kind of distance do you plan on doing for your long rides? Are you going to get a few 100+ milers in or throw in a bunch of shorter rides every day to make the goal?

I'm not going to be able to turn that kind of mileage this month but I'm just curious.

Best of luck!

Really don't have anything longer than a metric scheduled, but I'm sure I'll do a couple 70s on my own. Lots of weekday 30s, look at my MTD log for a typical week. I know I have at least five days when I cannot ride, there may be a few more that crop up due to weather or conflicts. So, basically I have to average 30-35 miles on the days I can and do ride.

Exactly ..... with the 4 days out of the picture from baby delivery I've got to average 27 miles a day to hit my goal. I'm already 6 miles behind ...... :-P

But I HAVE been able to get on the bike at least. Our old nanny (who still lives with us until she gets married in July) is a teacher and has Spring break next week, so I'll be able to sneak out more. Not too mention the father-in-law is in town and has been a huge help.

Of course that 27 numbere accounts for 0 rest days, so something is going to have to give and my long slow run days on Sundays are turning into medium distance bike ride/LSR bricks now with long slow rides on Saturday. Ugh!

Today's the 10th, you should be one-third of the way there, or have at least 233.33 miles. Log 'em in early and I'll post an update this evening.

 RIDE LOTS!

I'm 37 minutes in the hole right now, I'm at 12.72 hours and should be at 13.33 hours.  If I were going by miles I would be at 237 (189 real rode + 48 fake trainer).  Not worried yet but the rain needs to stop soon or I'll be doing some real wet rides.

We're logging in miles?

I'm a tiny bit behind, but there's a holiday this week, so I should be able to make it up.

I'm way behind but I got a late start. ;-P

I was able to go out and do a 60 miler today though, it was still a bit chilly for my liking (had to wear arm warmers and a t-shirt under my jersey).

One-third of the way through, everyone seems to be pretty much on track. Last column is % of MTD goal (1/3 of total goal).

I won't until Sunday probably. Got over 400 yesterday. Plan on doing 30 or so today and tomorrow which will get me close. If I can squeek another 30 on Saturday before or after my kid's first ever baseball game then I'll break 500.

Regardless I'll be over that on Sunday barring any unforseens!

I'm definitely taking it down to the wire .........
