If these wheels turn out as nice as they sound, then I think they will be a volume seller. I know I wouldn't mind having another set of wheels (and like I really need it... oh well!).

Last question...I think

Will there be enough clearance between the hubs and spokes to add a disc cover if one wanted to?  Or would they fall into the same camp as the Shimano R500 wheelset, and the like, which can not fit a disc cover because of the clearance issue?

And Chris I want to thank you for providing answers to all the questions that are being thrown out there.

I was unaware of that problem with the Shimano wheel. Helps me understand the tolerance issue. Is it between the hub flange and the cassette?

From wheelbuilder.com's website

Compatibility
•  Your wheel must have >5 mm of clearance available between the largest cog on your cassette and the drive side spokes. If the space is less, rubbing will occur between the chain and the cover in the largest rear cog.
•  NOT compatible with track, tandem, or front wheels
•  Click here for wheels that are not compatible
•  Click here for bikes that are not compatible due to narrow chainstays; notably, the Specialized Transition and Kestrel 4000 TT bikes.
•  For Zipp wheels, see the Zipp Hub Identification Guide to help select the correct Zipp hub in your Zipp factory-built wheel.

my transition pro w/ vilocity wheel + pt + disc cover works just fine 2 races, works well and its a fast setup.  just sayin, but it is a tight fit and the shimano r500's do not work with a cover.

Well then I am glad that I brought it up.  The versatility of adding a disc cover adds a tremendous amount of value to any rear wheel in my eyes.  That is most likely the case because I'm cheap and can't see myself having a dedicated deep rear and a dedicated lent disc wheel, even at the low pricepoint that you state.  I want a wheel that I can slap on a cover for less than 100 bucks and have the best of both worlds.

Thanks again for being so informative.

No problem.  Let me run some measurements and I'll get back on that issue.

Is the carbon pressed molded or weaved? Undecided

The carbon comes in fabric-like sheets.  These sheets hold the specific weave, 12k, 3k, UD etc.  It is then press molded onto our molds with resin, and for lack of better terms cooked and cooled.

I'd be interested in a group buy.

With these being a new product--is there any type of warranty?

Absolutely.  We do not have our warranty policy finished yet but we will definitely be standing behind our products.

Hello everyone,

My brother and I have been hard at work.  We've got some factory updates and a "drive-side" spy shot of the Flo Disc wheel.  Keep in mind this is an unpolished and unfinished piece.  Check it out on our blog...
As always, please feel free to ask any questions.

Sorry about that.  I wish we could have made that a possibility for you.  That said, rushing to release a "questionable" product is something we cannot do.  All the best with racing this season.

I am going to have to agree with Scott.  It is almost the end of February and the pre-order process has not begun yet, nor are the wheels ready for full production or testing.  I would be surprised if it were before June when orders would start being filled.  At that point, I have to be settled into a new set of wheels as we will be in the midst of the racing season.

It's too bad, really, as I had great hopes for these wheels.  Being a guy that buys wheels for several members of a team, I can't really afford to equip the bikes for this season and then re-equip them for next season.

Maybe in a few years.  I admit the disappointment of having to spend money we had planned on spending on these wheelsets on more expensive peices and thus limiting out ability to buy more sets is pretty large.

I'm sorry for your disappointment.  Like I mentioned to Scott, rushing our design and selling our customers "questionable" products would not be fair to anyone.  I wish you and your team all the best this season.
